This is what happens when a loyalist marine from a Traitor Legion survives the purge at Isstvan III. Meet Endryd Haar.

Games Workshop and Forge World are back with a brand new miniature for the Horus Heresy. This new character model is ready to throw-hands and knock the heads off traitors. Endryd Haar is here and he’s looking for payback!

“Imagine how mad you’d be if you disappeared during the Great Crusade, only to come back and find your Legion had cast their lot in with a traitor and turned their backs on the Emperor. Now imagine you’re a warrior of the XII Legion – and not exactly the coolest head in their ranks to start – and you’ll start to understand just how angry Endryd Haar is.”

Endryd Haar, World Eater No More

Haar is set apart from his fellow World Eaters. For starters, he’s a Terran-born and was one of the first Astartes created for his Legion. In a twist of fate, Haar and his command were missing during the key moments that caused his Legion to turn traitor. He missed the reunion with Angron, skipped out on the Butcher’s Nails, dodged the Warrior Lodges, and was spared the purge at Isstvan III.

When he did finally return he came back to find things had changed. His Legion had turned against the Imperium and thrown in with the Warmaster. This did not sit well with Haar and he swore vengeance. Now he has gathered liked-minded Space Marines into the Fangs of the Emperor — a Blackshield warband ready to score revenge where they can.

He might have renounced his Legion but that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten the rage. He’s scoured off almost all remnants of his former Legion save for the Iron Halo that still bears the teeth. I really like the fact that he’s modeled in war-torn MK V ‘Heresy’ armour as well. GW says it’s in reference to the lack of supplies that the Blackshields have access to. I think it’s just because it makes him look even more intimidating!

“Endryd Haar carries an ancient archaeotech pistol, but his real weapon is a brutal power fist – a Terrawatt-pattern gauntlet that can charge up its disruption nodes to trade Attacks for added oomph, hitting at up to Strength 12! “

That’s right, that Power Fist swings at Strength 12 — that’s enough to give most things pause. And if you think he’s not going to be able to get close enough to use it, guess again. His unique Warlord Trait is Fangs of the Emperor. This allow him and his squad to creep close to the enemy lines before the battle. Haar is ready to crush the Traitors and get up close and personal.

Endryd Haar will be available to order in resin later this year. His rules will be found in the Battle for Beta-Garmon campaign book also coming soon.
