Don’t Get Pinched and Wear a Green Anime Cosplay

You don’t need the excuse of St. Patty’s day to wear things that remind you of your favorite green anime character… but we’ll use it anyway.

It’s time for St. Patrick’s Day, and for most of us that means corned beef, maybe an invitation to a silly party, and an excuse to wear green. Not that we need an excuse. Especially if you love any of these very green characters or cosplays.

1. Attack on Titan Cape

Remember back when SnK first started? We sorted ourselves into the various fictional anime military branches and then wore almost identical capes or jackets? Remember way back then? I sure do. If you’re looking for an easy and cozy cosplay, you can’t of better than a cape. It’s one thing, it covers all of the rest of your clothing, and it doubles as a blanket. Plus this one says that you’re very brave and willing to fight the big monsters.

2. Kagome’s School Uniform

A bit of a blast from the past, Kagome from Inu Yasha‘s school uniform features a ton of green both in the sailor top and the skirt. Does this costume run the risk of younger fans saying, “Who are you?” Yeah, it does. But that’s chance you just might have to take. Or get a friend with a white wig and a really big sword.

3. Baizhu Wig

Personally, I’m awful at styling wigs. This is a shame because one of the fun things about anime characters is the very fun hairstyles and colors. Baizhu from Genshin Impact has some fantastic hair and you can get that exact wig. The best part? It comes pre-styled for all of us bad at wigs folks!

4. Tanjiro’s Uniform

Demon Slayer is one of the biggest currently-running animes, and the main character Tanjiro is one of the best boys around. He also has a very simple but very recognizable signature look with the green and black checkered kimono over his Demon Slayer Corps uniform. This is the full cosplay, green kimono included, so you’re good to go at your next con, or the next time you need to keep the grocery store safe from demons.

5. Sailor Jupiter Boots

I haven’t made or worn a cosplay in forever, and I may buy these boots for myself. Y’know, to wear them with my rose earrings and really make a thirteen-year-old version of myself proud. Sailor Jupiter is the green scout, and her ankle-height lace-up boots are always instantly recognizable. And the best part? Unlike some of these more obvious costumes, these work just as easily as cosplay or as a fun way to feel a little more powerful in your day-to-day life.

Oh hey! BoLS might make a little dolla-dolla if you decide to buy these items. I need that money to buy lots of green anime character stuff, because the green character was always my character and I have fallen down a nostalgia rabbit hole!
