Larian might be adding goodbye to Baldur’s Gate, but they’re going to do it in style; new evil ending cinematics are coming.

Larian Studios said it would be moving on after Baldur’s Gate 3 was done, headed for newer, bigger things. This means that Larian won’t be making a Baldur’s Gate 4 or any new DLC, for instance. But that doesn’t mean the developer is done with the game completely just yet.

In fact, in a new interview with IGN, Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke teased that there’s still more coming to the game. While Larian has no plans to add “massive content changes” to the game, the dev team is still working on delivering what their audience wants. Including a spate of evil new endings for all you deviants out there.

Baldur’s Gate 3 – Evil New Endings Coming

As Vincke told IGN:

“They’re working on evil endings right now. I’ve seen some of them, they’re really evil. So the evil players will be satisfied with that.”

Eventually, support will scale down to just support for bugs and other fixes once the team delivers on previously promised features like Mod Support and Crossplay. To that end, Larian is working closely with Sony and Microsoft to get mod support across the spectrum, whatever you’re playing on.

Which is a pretty stellar way to close the door on a huge and hugely successful chapter. Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to sweep award shows, coming off of big wins at GDC 2024. And these wins are with good reason: the game is excellent. Whatever path you want to take, whatever playstyle you’re hoping to find, the options are there.

Seven months and thousands of hours later, players are still discovering new things about the game. So, with more coming to Baldur’s Gate 3 even as Larian gets ready to move on to newer, greener pastures, maybe it’s time once again to start another playthrough.

This time, maybe pick one of the small options. And play a Druid for once?
