Starting his life on the idyllic plane of Eldraine, Kellan always knew he was destined for more. By traversing the Omenpaths in search of his true father, he met trustworthy friends, defeated powerful enemies, and perhaps found love. Best of all, he could locate the father he’d lost so long ago. But who is this half-blooded princeling?

The Boy from Two Worlds

Born a simple farmboy on Eldraine, Kellan lived with his mother, stepfather, and family sheepdog Hex. Small for his age, he was often bullied for being a half-blood. Since his true father had been a Faerie, many of his peers blamed him for the Wicked Slumber curse. Having no knowledge of his true father, Kellan accepted their taunts. However, everything changed shortly after his sixteenth birthday.

On the night of the new moon, half a year after the Phyrexian invasion, the Fae lord Talion spirited Kellan into his realm. Assuring Kellan that he was not his father, Talion tasked the young man with slaying the witches Hylda, Eriette, and Agatha, ending the sleeping curse. In exchange, he would give Kellan information about his true father. He gifted Kellan a pair of magical hilts that would activate into blades of light and sent him on his way.

The Three Witches

Kellan set out to find the three witches. While traveling, he met Ruby, a hunter seeking her lost brother. While fleeing from the Wolf Knight, they happened upon Agatha’s cabin in the deep woods. Kellen slew the witch by pushing her into her cauldron, and the Wolf Knight transformed back into his human form. It was Peter, the brother Ruby had searched for.

The other witches did not need to be dispatched so harshly. Hylda, the Ice Queen, took pity on the boy when he fell victim to the Wicked Slumber. She relinquished her crown and healed him, warning him that Talion was also at fault for the curse. He and Ruby infiltrated Castle Ardenvale but were captured by Rowan Kenrith. When her brother attacked the Castle, they were able to escape. They assisted Will in subduing the planeswalker Ashiok and capturing Eriette.

Though he returned the three magic totems of the witches to Talion, he declined his reward and returned home. His mother told him of Oko, and in his search for him, he found an omenpath. Hungry for adventure, he stepped through, arriving on the plane of Ixalan.

Mapping Ixalan

Kellan found himself deep below Ixalan in the network of caverns. As he explored deeper, he ran into a vampiric scouting party led by Vito. Though he was not a vampire himself, Vito allowed him to travel with the party. While traveling, he met and befriended the vampire cartographer Amalia, and they became close. Before long, they arrived at Ixalan’s core, but at the same time, a pursuit party led by Huatli appeared, imprisoning the party. Vito’s party escaped, abandoning Kellan and Amalia to pursue Vito’s goal of unleashing Aclazotz.

Amalia and Kellan joined the Oltecs native to the core and helped them defeat the resurrected god. After successfully eliminating Aclazotz’s demonic minions, they joined with Breeches and Malcolm to return to the surface. When they happened on an omenpath, Amalia offered to join him on his quest, and he happily obliged.

Murder Most Foul

Kellan’s next stop was Ravnica, a plane in flux after the Phyrexian invasion. Hoping to find information about his father, he joined the Ravnican Agency of Magicological Invasion. He quickly made a name for himself by stopping the Gruul mole god Anzrag from destroying the Ninth District. He was invited to a party at Karlov Manor in honor of his success. During the party, the Simic leader Zegana was murdered, launching an investigation. When the Dimir assassin Etrata was revealed in disguise, Kellan and the planeswalker Kaya pursued and apprehended her. Three days later, while Etrata was in holding, Teysa Karlov was murdered as well.

More strange murders and attacks began to occur across the city. Teysa’s murderer was a guileless man with no memory of the event, and the Boros guild leader, Aurelia, was assaulted by Massacre Girl. The angel gave the Agency one day to discover the mastermind, or she would declare war on Rakdos. Thanks to brilliant detective work by Alquist Proft and the assistance of Kellan, the culprit was revealed as Oba, one of the dryads of Trostani. Unfortunately, she lashed out at the accusation, throwing Kellan from a high window. However, it worked out in his favor as he learned he could summon his Fae heritage to fly.

Returning to his desk, Kellan learned of the Izzet League’s initiative to create an interplanar communication line. Volunteering to join them, he traveled to Thunder Junction with Ral Zarek, hoping to finally meet his real father, Oko.

Kellan has an exciting adventure ahead in Thunder Junction!
