Mysterious disappearances, a shadowy underworld, and the green maiden of the forest are all in this week’s 5E compatible RPG roundup.

It’s time to roll the dice on new releases! Come check out this week’s batch of brand-new 5E-compatible tabletop role-playing games.

The Feast of Hunger

“Ah, weary travelers. Welcome to the Feast. Take a seat and fill your bellies. Find refuge from the cold with me tonight.”

Deep within the snowy woods, lonely and quiet settlements dot the land. Lately, whispers have drifted along the howling winds. Whispers of whole settlements left empty and desolate. Whispers of a welcoming feast and a beautiful woman. Whispers of chilling, inescapable hunger.

The party stumbles across one such settlement known as Norte Post. Doors are wide open, half eaten food on the table frozen solid. Beds are unmade and animals wander between the homes, waiting for their owners.

The strangest of all are the footprints leading into the woods from every house.

It is up to the party to investigate this strange emptiness. Hints of the truth can be found throughout the homes and, upon following the footsteps, the party will find an unlikely ally in a lost child and a dying witch.

Will the party be able to save Norte Post and stop the everlasting Feast of Hunger? Or will its host, Vora the Devourer, find her next meal in the adventurers?

This adventure was made to be played as a one-shot and is easily integrated into an established world as a cold and remote forest location. It is best suited for a party of 4 characters at level 8. However, there are suggestions at the end of the adventure for a party of 3 or 5.

Monday Monsters vol. 4: Wyrms and Wonderous Works

Dive into Monday Monster’s fourth volume, wyrms, and wonderous works! Here you will find 10 new creatures for your D&D 5e game! All new and deadly creatures, waiting for you and your table!

  • Smog Tarragon A race of tarragon that has adapted to urban environments, smog tarragons stalk across rooftops and through alleys with deathly ease. They often linger about factories and alchemical laboratories, where they drink chemical runoff and feast on diseased, weakened animals.
  • Forge Tarragon Forge tarragons are commonly found in the proximity of forges and smithies, using their incredible breath to heat and fuel fires. Spectacularly omnivorous, forge tarragons are able to feast upon various minerals and ores. Smiths that work alongside such beasts will often use them to dispose of spoiled projects or particularly impure ingots that they receive.
  • Mutated Dragon Ages ago, mutated dragons were not too different from their fellow true dragons, but an excursion into some unknown plane forced their bodies to adapt to survive. When they returned to the Universe, the power that had kept them alive overwhelmed them, becoming mutated. Known as mutated dragons in modern times, they seek means to relieve or cure their condition.
  • Gingerbread Golem Gingerbread golems protect other pastries and baked goods. When the gingerbread golem isn’t moving, it is often regarded as a large gingerbread man with an alluring scent which causes thieves to be attracted to it, causing it to activate.
  • Hive Golem Despite their names, the majority of a hive golem’s heavy body is typically made of honey, leading to some calling them honey golems. The vast quantity of honey is produced by the bees that inhabit the hives that are included within the golem’s body.
  • Cauldron Golem As part of its role as a helper in the alchemy lab, the cauldron golem can fold up its body into a stand for its central cauldron to better allow its master access. While arranged this way, a cauldron golem is still able to move its arms to assist its master in preparing potions by stirring the mixture, holding other ingredients and likewise.
  • Hoard Golem The first hoard golems were created by dragons who wanted a guardian for their treasures when they weren’t around to protect it. The secrets of crafting them have since been passed to other races but they are notoriously rare and usually the last lines of several other lines of security.
  • Living Altar Followers of evil deities will sometimes create living altars to wage war in the name of their deities and to better channel their might. These lumbering constructs are capable of delivering devastating blows, but prefer capturing victims to be sacrificed upon their altars.
  • Bloody Maiden While mindless and dutiful servants, bloody maidens can develop a base form of sentience due to their continual consumption of souls. These bloody maidens can prove particularly dangerous as many are still dedicated to their original task of torment and now attend to their task with inquisitive glee.
  • Clockwork Ark The original clockwork arks are the creations of a lost empire, meant to preserve and study a multitude of creatures for unknown purposes.
