Warhammer 40K: Adeptus Custodes Reveals At Warhammer World Anniversary
The Emperor’s Golden Boys are back with a new codex, new Battleforce, and new Shield-Captain!
Few enemies of the Emperor can stand toe-to-toe with the Adeptus Custodes. Perhaps it’s their golden armor. Or maybe it’s their genetic enhancements combined with superior training. They also come with the best wargear in the Imperium — I’m sure that helps, too. Whatever it is, the Adeptus Custodes are are the warpath once again. And now they have a new Shield-Captain miniature to lead them.
Adeptus Custodes Shield-Captain
“Shield-Captains rank among the greatest warriors in all the known galaxy, equipped with superlative strategic abilities and combat prowess – not to mention an armoury more finely wrought than any other in the Imperium. With an absolute mastery of weapons and will, Shield-Captains are large and very much in charge.”
The new Shield-Captain comes with either the bare head or helmet option. Wargear wise you’re going to get the devastating pyrithite spear — a weapon that doubles as both a melta shooting attack and deadly melee option.
Adeptus Custodes Battleforce – Auric Champions
Your first crack at getting this new Shield-Captain will be in the Adeptus Custodes new Battleforce – Auric Champions:
The contents include the new Shield-Captain, five Custodian Wardens, six Allarus Terminators, and six Vertus Praetors on Dawneagle Jetbikes. Honestly, this already looks like a tough cookie of a Battleforce. It wouldn’t take much more to round out that and have a full 2000 point army ready to deal the Emperor’s judgements on his foes.
New Codex: Adeptus Custodes

Well those were all the major Adeptus Custodes reveals from the Warhammer World Anniversary. You can bet the Custodes are going to be ready to mop-up the enemies of the Emperor when they arrive later this year.
