Next week, the Twin-Tailed Crusade heats up with a new book and three new Spearhead boxes. Check out the Shadow of the Crone and more!

It’s a big week for the Age of Sigmar. The next installment of the Dawnbringers storyline hits pre-orders next weekend. With it, three new Spearhead boxes, as well as terrain for Warcry (and by extension also Age of Sigmar). So get ready to dive deep into the Mortal Realms.

Will you fall into the Mawpit? Or will the Spearhead Detachments be enough to tempt you from straying too close to those deadly magic bones? Either way, here’s a look at everything coming to pre-order next week!

Age of Sigmar – Shadow of the Crone

Shadow of the Crone is Dawnbringers’ fifth book. By now, the Twin-Tailed Crusade is learning that the Mortal Realms don’t necessarily like being crusaded in. But, those Stormcasts are indefatigable. Even if they do eventually get kinda empty as the reforging process sets in more and more.

In the latest book, Shadow of the Crone, a conspiracy threatens the safety of Hammerhal Aqsha, and it’s up to Age of Sigmar’s latest ragtag band of heroes, led by Hanniver Toll and Armand Callis (with a little help from Krethusa the Croneseer) to set things aright. Can they manage it? Probably. But what will it cost them? Only one way to find out.

And of course, you wouldn’t have all these new characters without a new Army of Renown and Regiment of Renown to play them in. First up, Saviours of Cinderfall. This is a rag tag Regiment of Renown that features Hanniver Toll and Armand Callus, accompanied by all sorts of weirdos. There’s the capable thief Lyssa Revenya, and spymaster  Mistress Verentia, The Weaver of Whispers, and also Valius, the Keeper Aqshia, a Lord-Castellant and his faithful gryph-hound Balthas, because every group needs at least one guy who you might think could be a stick in the mud.

The Army of Renown, on the other hand, is The Croneseer’s Pariahs. They get their own rules in Shadow of the Crone, and they are led by Krethusa the Croneseer, who has been given prescient visions from Morai-Heg. She has led some Witch-Aelves away from Morathi-Khaine, and in the box you see which ones: namely, 5 Doomfire Warlocks (who can be built as Dark Riders) and 10 Sisters of Slaughter (who can be built as Witch Aelves)

Spearhead Boxes

Of course, along with the new story, are a bunch of new Spearhead Boxes. These are kind of like Combat Patrol boxes but for the Age of Sigmar instead of 40K. Leading the way, as always, are the Stormcast Eternals. In this box, you get Yndrasta, the Celestial Spear, as well as 3 Annihilators, 10 Vanquishers, a Stormstrike Chariot and Gryph-Chargers, as well as a Knight-Vexillor with Banner of Apotheosis.

Cities of Sigmar aren’t one to be left out. Their box consist of 10 freeguild Steelhelms, 5 Freeguild Cavaliers led by a Freeguild Cavalier-Marshal, and an Ironweld Great Cannon.

In Spearhead: Flesh-eater Courts, you get an Abhorrant Archregent, 10 Cryptguard attendants, a Varghulf Courtier, and 3 Morbheg Knights.

Terrain Times

Finally, there’s a bunch of terrain, previously available only as a boxed set now available separately: the Elder Gnarloak, Idol of Motzlpota, and Starfire Pylon, as well as the festering Mawpit.

All this, next week!
