Games Workshop has released the final Battlescroll of the current edition of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. It’s been dubbed Impending Vermindoom!

With the new edition coming out this Summer things are slowing grinding down for the end of the current edition. There’s lots of new and exciting changes coming in AoS 4.0 but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still games to play right now. With that in mind Games Workshop has released a final Battlescroll update and a new Metawatch video explaining the changes.

“As Matt explains, they’ve taken a light touch this time around – the more comprehensive changes will shine through when the new edition drops later this year. But that’s not to say it’s stayed static.”

Overall, most of the changes were fairly light. Here’s a quick breakdown:

  • Putrid Blightkings: Increase the Range of Blighted Weapons to 2″
  • Alarielle the Everqueen: Increase the Range of the Great Antlers to 3″
  • Spite-Revenants: Increase the Range of Cruel Talons and Fangs to 2″
  • Flesh-Eater Courts: Command Trait – Cruel Taskmasker: Updated to work better with Muster Guard ability.

And those are all the new updates to the rules in the final Battlescroll. Aside from that, there are a massive amount of points updates as well.

We won’t list all those here. However, there was a LOT of green across the board which means loads of point drops. There’s good chances your army has been impacted and you’ve now got a few more points to spend. Unless you’re Blades of Khorne or Ossiarch Bonereapers…Those armies look to have more red than green in their points update.

Personally, I’m glad to see GW make some final adjustments to the current edition. There’s still a Dawnbringers book coming with a few more Armies of Renown inside. I’m a little surprised we didn’t get the update until after that came out. But I’m not complaining. This basically seals the deal on AoS 3.0. It’s been a fun ride but I think we AoS fans are ready for the new edition.

Prepare for the Impending Vermindoom!
