Age of Sigmar: Hobby Highlight – Painting Yndrasta, The Celestial Spear
It’s time to paint up the classic Stormcast commander Yndrasta, The Celestial Spear in this week’s Hobby Highlight!
Today I am showing off Yndrasta, The Celestial Spear for Age of Sigmar.
With a new badass lady seemingly coming to lead a brand new box set for Stormcast in Age of Sigmar 4.0, I figured it was a great time to paint up the leading gal of 3.0, Yndrasta the Celestial Spear herself. I wish she had gotten up to a bit more in the Third Edition storyline, so here’s hoping her legend continues despite the jump to a new edition.
Yndrasta Paint Scheme
I went with a mostly by-the-book color scheme for Yndrasta- with the golden panoply of the Hammers of Sigmar being prominently featured. I do a slight variation, accenting my Hammer with red over the studio blue. With Thunderstrike models I tend to color their animal bust shoulder and knee pads in an antique bronze and I continued that here. As a goodbye to Third Edition and our most recent setting of bitter cold Andtor, I went with a desolate, snowy base for Yndrasta.
