Games Workshop is back with a new Rumor Engine and today we’ve got a mystery to solve. This claw is looking to snap things up!

Welcome to another Tuesday Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. Sometimes we get a picture from GW that keeps us guessing as to what it could be. Other times we know exactly what we’re looking at…but still don’t have a clue as to what it’s from. This Rumor Engine falls into the latter category. Have a look for yourself.

“We’ve had some weird horns this month, a bit of a window, and a staff, so surely it’s time we saw some new horses on the Rumour Engine, right? Come on, Engine…”

Rumor Engine – Paging Dr. Claw

Yeah…I don’t think this is a horse’s hoof that’s been replaced by a claw. Unless we’re suddenly getting a new faction of horses who have gotten some pretty impressive cybernetic upgrades. I don’t think that’s the case here. So what are we looking at?

Well, to state the obvious, this is a Power Claw of some type. Orks are your typical Power Klaw fan but this is giving me more chaosy vibes. Probably on account of the spikes on the “thumb” claw. This one also looks more like a grabbing claw as those two “fingers” don’t look as articulate as say a full Power Claw or Lightning Claw.

The Talon of Horus has some movement range to it. Just ask Abaddon.

I’m also curious about the paint job. It’s obviously quite the weathered claw. This tool has seen some use. It’s actually giving me Necromunda vibes, too. Could this one have anything to do with that teaser we saw from Adepticon 2024?

It’s kind of hard to tell. I’m not ruling out Orks, either. But we did just get their codex and we didn’t see anyone with this particular instrument featured. Although I can think of a few Orks that could use this as a replacement klaw.

One last thing I want to toss out is the possibility it could be a robot of some sort. Maybe it’s a Titan’s claw? Then again, I’m not sure which Titan would be using this design.

As mentioned above we can all see exactly what this bit is — but we don’t have any idea what it’s actually from. That’s where you come in. If you’ve got any ideas on this one please share them with the rest of the class. Maybe we can figure this one out together.

The claws have it!
