War… war never changes. Nor do printing schedules, apparently. Modiphius’ Fallout TTRPG has sold out of physical copies.

There is something just extremely appealing about Fallout and its Wasteland setting. It endures, and a big part of that is how expansive the stories you can tell within its confines are. You don’t have to just play a Vault Dweller getting out there and being mixed up in things, as both New Vegas and the new Fallout TV show are demonstrating.

A big part of why the setting feels this way may come down to the game’s origins. Fallout originated as, well, Fallout from the tabletop RPG campaigns being played in the Interplay offices. Weirdly, it wasn’t until 2021 that an official Fallout tabletop RPG came to be. It’s mostly based around Fallout 4, shockingly so, but it’s a ton of fun.

You can’t buy a physical copy of the book—at least not from Modiphius, who had been having a sale to celebrate the TV show’s release. But physical versions of the core rulebook, the GM’s toolkit, and the player bundle are all sold out. Don’t worry—you can still get digital copies if you want to bring the wasteland to your tabletop.

While the core rulebook may be sold out, as the adage goes, you can’t sell out of PDFs. And if, inspired by the TV show, you’re looking to play the Fallout RPG, that’s probably the one you’ll want to grab. Though, if you’re not sure, say you’ve never played one of Modiphius’ 2d20 system games before, you might want to grab the free Quickstart rules and take it for a spin.

Or you can watch our overview right here:

With the core rules in hand (well, digitally at any rate), you might be wondering what a campaign looks like. Well friend, they’ve got you covered—there are several adventures and even a campaign to play through. Starting with Once Upon a Time in the Wasteland.

This is a short campaign spread over three quests. It’s your standard introductory adventure. It’s made for learning how to play the game, and is included in the starter set (though you can also pick it up for the virtual tabletop of your choice).

You could also try Winter of Atom, the big campaign expansion that introduces new factions (including a wandering circus) while sending you deep into the heart of the goings-on within the Children of Atom.

Or find many more besides.
