New 25th Anniversary Star Wars LEGO Sets on the Way – Including a UCS TIE Interceptor

This year marks 25 years of Star Wars LEGO, and the company is continuing a year of celebration with iconic ships and a pod race.

This year will be filled with new sets and Star Wars LEGO-themed events. Adding to the midi-scale sets are a group of iconic ships and droids from Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace, and The Clone Wars. Plus, a coffee table book that explores the history of LEGO Star Wars with concept art and interviews. All of these will be available on May 1st.

TIE Interceptor

This TIE Interceptor is a redesigned version of 2000’s Ultimate Collector Series. Build the detailed cockpit, laser cannons, and the Imperial fighter’s distinctive wings. It comes with a TIE pilot minifig and a mouse droid that are currently only available with this set. When it’s built, it measures an impressive 16 inches long and comes with a brick-built stand for display.

Mos Espa Podrace Diorama

Add to your Star Wars diorama collection with a memorable scene from The Phantom Menace. This set includes Anakin Skywalker, the Arch Canyon, and features Sebulba’s Plug-F Mammoth and Anakin’s Podracer. It also comes with a plaque with Qui-Gon Jinn’s advice: “Remember. Concentrate on the moment. Feel. Don’t think. Use your instincts.”

Droideka

Also launching for pre-order on May 1st is the new LEGO Star Wars Coffee Table Book, The Force of Creativity – 312-page hardcover book in a slipcase with collective memorabilia which takes fans on a journey through interviews with more than 50 contributors from the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm. The book includes development art, character designs and gives fans a true insight into the LEGO Star Wars galaxy. The book will be available for pre-order here.
