Over the weekend, Free League released an updated version of the Quickstart rules for their upcoming Sci-Fi RPG, Coriolis: The Great Dark
Coriolis: The Great Dark is the upcoming 2nd Edition of Free League’s first foray into sci-fi RPGs. And in the midst of a popular Kickstarter campaign, Free League has released and updated, free version of its quickstart rules. Meaning you don’t even have to wait for the end of the crowdfunding campaign to try it out.
Coriolis: The Great Dark is set in Free League’s sci-fi world, wherein humanity has set out into the titular Dark in search of ancient ruins and long-lost secrets to try and find a way to save the home, or at least the colony ships, of their people.

The Coriolis:The Great Dark, Quickstart provides you with a setting primer, the basic rules of gameplay,a short adventure, The Sky Machine, as well as four pre-generated Explorers and handouts used in play.

Coriolis: The Great Dark is an RPG about exploration and hope in a dark, distant reach of space. As the description of the game reads: “The portals are dead. Ship City is dying. But there is still hope.”
These words set the tone for Free League’s new edition of Coriolis. In it, you’ll play an explorer who sets out into the Great Dark, a region of space filled with enigmatic ruins and dangers the likes of which few are willing to risk. But risk it you will, for though there is a cataclysmic Blight issuing from these ruins, within their corrupt and mysterious depth, they may hold the keys to your future’s salvation.
