The Kroot are getting a trio of releases this weekend and we’ve got an up close and personal look at them.

There’s a new wave of Kroot releases going up for pre-order this weekend and while I didn’t get to build them I got a very close look at the models — and now you will also! The Kroot Trail Shaper, Lone-spear, and Hounds are arriving soon so here’s a little preview of them.

Kroot Trail Shaper

The Kroot Trail Shaper is a new Kroot leader you can take to the tabletop. This Shaper is all about leading his fellow mercs to advantageous terrain to strike from ambush. Personally, I like the “hunting rifle ready for reload” pose. You can tell he’s commanding as well — he’s even got a Kroot version of a tactical rock!

Kroot Lone-Spear

The Kroot Lone-spear is actually a little smaller than I thought it was going to be. That said, it’s a cool looking kit. He’s riding a new warbeast called a “Kalamandra” into battle. You’ve got a pair of options with this kit as you can either have the long rifle or hunting spear. Both are pretty deadly in their own right. He’s also fast enough to keep up with some of the newer Kroot kits that might want to run up a flank. I think this one could be the winner of the batch.

We only took the one picture of the bestest Kroot boy. But don’t worry, there’s even more poses coming — five in total. There’s not much else to say about these guys other than they remind me of a cross between a bird and a greyhound dog.

Bonus: Solar Auxilia From Horus Heresy!

Surprise! We had some more kits come and since they are releasing at the same time, I figured I’d toss them in here. Everyone likes pictures of miniatures, right?

Hermes Light Sentinel

You’ll get two of these little guys in the squad box. Here we’ve built one with the grenade launcher. These tiny walkers are pretty funny to me because of how (relatively) small they are. Did we need another one-man walker for the Solar Auxilia? Sure! Why not.

Medusa

Here’s a look at the new Medusa artillery tank. This kit can either be build as the Medusa you see above or as a Basilisk. Honestly, both options bring the boom in unique ways. I won’t judge you for either one.

There’s lots of new kits out this weekend from Games Workshop but who would you pick in a fight: The Solar Auxilia or the Kroot?!
