The Orks are about to go Crusading across the galaxy with these new rules. Gather your own Waaagh! and get to Stompin’!

Games Workshop is showcasing the new Ork Crusade rules from the upcoming codex. And even if you don’t do much Crusading, you’ve to at least appreciate a good flow chart. Check these out.

“All Waaaghs! start somewhere, so you’ll begin by singling out a particularly enterprising WARBOSS to be your Waaagh!Boss and gather up the troops in his name. The measure of your mob is their tally of Stompin’ points, which reflects how large and anarchic your Waaagh! is growing – and since we know that bigger is better, you want as many as you can grab.”

The higher your tally of Stompin’ Points, the bigger your Waaagh! becomes. That can drastically change what stage you’re in and that also has some downstream impacts on your Crusade.

Now, obviously GW isn’t letting all the rules out of the bag. But you can see that Stage 1 and Stage 4 are very different. Stages 2 and 3 are hidden — for now. Orky Ructions also come into play, particularly if you lose the battle. You don’t want to do that during this stage but it does happen and the results can be…not so great.

Now, if you can manage to hold on to the Waaagh! and keep it moving then you might just score some sweet loot. Which is the entire point of a Waaagh! right? I mean, except for all the fightin’ of course.

“Does your Speedboss want his Deffkilla Wartrike to go even faster, and burn sunspots into enemy eyes with how red his paint is? Or is your Beastboss prone to headbutting his opponents, preferring to pile on buckets of mortal wounds with the power of his iron jaw? There’s Bestest Bossloot for that.”

Orks on a rampage is one thing. But when they go on an “organized” Crusade that’s what we’d call a Waaagh! And now you’ll be able to do that with these new rules coming soon in the Ork Codex!
