Well this new Games Workshop Rumor Engine is something else. It’s probably not a hubcap but it’s certainly interesting!

Welcome to another Tuesday Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. Today’s image is a strange one but in a familiar way. Looking at it makes my brain leap to conclusions. But before I share my thoughts you should really take a look for yourself.

“Sometimes something gets dropped out of the Rumour Engine that could be literally anything. We weren’t even sure that this one was something Warhammer-y, but then we noticed it had a helpful skull in the middle so you know where you stand. This could be a dinner plate for all we know, it’d still have a skull.”

Rumor Engine – Probably Not A Hubcap

Alright so what are we looking at? For starters I think it’s safe to say this one is Imperial or Imperial-adjacent. I’m leaning hard towards Space Marines but it could be Astra Militarum or even Adeptus Mechanicus.

But, for some reason, I can’t help but think of a Dreadnought when I see this one.

My mind immediately jumps to some sort of power core/power containment on a vehicle. Obviously this would be for a new vehicle/miniature so it’s probably not a Dreadnought. But what if it’s something…bigger?

I mean, look at the back of the Knight Castellan. There’s a bunch of those engine/servos with the Cog and Skulls going on. The point is this is a repeating motif in the Imperium and typically for vehicles. But here’s where I’m a tad stuck. I can’t unsee this being a part of a vehicle. But hopefully you’ve got a different spin on things.

If you have any ideas of what else this could be drop us a line in the comments. I’m curious to see what you all think of this Rumor Engine. Maybe I’m overthinking it and it IS actually a hubcap. Or an Imperial manhole cover. Oh that would be funny, wouldn’t it?!

It’s probably not a hubcap.
