Marvel: Crisis Protocol – Midnight Sons Affiliation Pack Unboxed

It’s time for the things that go bump in the night to be a little more cautious. The Midnights Sons are back with a new Affiliation box for Marvel: Crisis Protocol!
We’ve known for a while that the Midnight Sons were on deck to get a new Affiliation Pack. Personally, I think this is one of the stronger options for jumping into Marvel: Crisis Protocol. But that’s another topic. Today, I’m diving to the physical product that Atomic Mass Games sent me as a review copy. And this one is a winner.
The new Affiliation Pack features Blade, Doctor Voodoo, Ghost Riders, and Moon Knight. It’s actually quite the banger of a line-up.
Midnight Sons Affiliation Pack Unboxed
I’m half tempted to say “unmasked” but really it’s just Moon Knight wearing one…anyhow, let’s get into the actual contents for this one.
Kicking things off we have the standard packaging from AMG with all the cards in one bag and the Sprues in another. This time around I’m really glad those bits are bagged up. The reason is because a few bits broke off in transit. Nothing major. But at least they were in the bag. I will say that’s one of the downsides of the Affiliation Packs that weren’t initially designed to be packaged together. Unlike some other AMG offerings, these sprues don’t stack cleanly. If you’ve seen other unboxings, then you know what I’m talking about.
Anyhow, these being the older models (which I’ve had for a while now) it wasn’t that big of a deal. The bits were still intact so that’s good. The cards are also a welcome addition. They are in the four supported languages AND they are the most current/correct versions of these cards in the new format. I’m glad to get some updates versions because my print-and-play cards might need to be replaced soon. You also get all the various team tactic cards, too.
As you can see above, it’s quite a spread. Now, if you’re looking for more of a rules breakdown, I did that already. The TL;DR is that this box is great for new players wanting to get started. It’s also great for anyone looking to expand into the Midnight Sons Affiliation. Blade is one of the two leaders for the Affiliation. Ghost Rider is a heavy hitter. Doctor Voodoo brings the mystics attacks. And Moon Knight is still looking for that money Dracula owes him.
Again, these are the same miniatures we’ve had for a bit. The Sprues haven’t been updated or anything that fancy. Still, I like this miniature quite a bit. Normally, this is where I’d put in close-ups of the assembled and unpainted miniatures. But because they aren’t new I don’t really see the point. So here’s a few from Ben’s showcase article:
He’s got (basically) the whole Affiliation done. You really should check out that previous article.
Anyhow, the release date for the Midnight Sons Affiliation Pack is coming up fast: May 2, 2025. That’s this Friday! You can pre-order them now.
