Star Wars: Legion Fans, if you missed the Dev Live Stream we’ve got you covered. Plus there’s a whole load of new updates available now.

So yesterday, Atomic Mass Games hosted their Developer Live Steam for Star Wars: Legion. It was about an hour and a lot of topics were covered. And look, I’m not going to lie to you — there’s some changes that arrived that aren’t sitting well with the community. You can read the comments on the video to get a taste or you can watch it for yourself:

I think a lot of the big sweeping changes start around the 39:00 minute mark. There’s quite a few things getting removed (for now). One of the biggest pain-points was the removal of the Rebel Pathfinders unit which has just become more/alternate Rebel Troopers. This one does sting. However, reading between the lines, it does seem like this one might have been more from LFL (aka Lucasfilm Ltd, aka Disney). Regardless, they have been removed as a unit choice (for now).

All that said, there’s still some good stuff coming to Star Wars: Legion. The new starter sets are going to make it even easier to jump in for new players. I also appreciate they are keeping the (most) of the points from the November updates. AMG is watching things are at least thoughtful about the changes they are making to balancing the game.

Would it be nice if AMG moved faster on the balance updates and points adjustments? Maybe for some. But too much change too quickly can really mess up things. Going guardrail to guardrail isn’t good either.

Having said all that, watch the video to get the words directly from AMG. And you can also download all these documents and updates for free right now. While I know not everyone is happy with all the changes it’s not all doom and gloom. The fact that AMG is actually making moves with Star Wars: Legion is a good thing. Give the game and AMG some time to let things settle. Try out the new stuff, get a feel for it, and then go to their forum and let them have some constructive feedback.
