Warhammer 40K: Top 10th Edition Thousand Sons Enhancements

Goatboy here with a top 5 list of the best Enhancements from the new 10th Edition Thousand Sons codex, to bring you victory on the tabletop!

These Thousand Sons Enhancments would the ones I would take if I decided to torture myself with painting gold and blue bad boys from the Warhammer 40K Universe.  Overall there is a lot of neat stuff in the book and these upgrades or gifts from Tzeentch sound like the most fun to me.

They are in no particular order and just the ones I saw as I looked through each Detachment.  I still really enjoy the Detachment based armies and think it is one of the better choices made for 10th edition.  I hope we continue along this line of things as it feels small enough to be easy to use and strong enough to be worth it to build your army around.  Plus you can get some funky names for things and bring a lot more of the Grimdark nonsense to your life. Onto the good stuff:

5 – Grand Coven – Incandaeum

An Exalted Sorcerer model this model is allowed to use the Doombolt Ritual even if it is already been used. Any ability that lets you throw out Mortal Wounds needs to be looked at.  Just being able to throw it out as your last Ritual to put in those extra wounds you need.

4 – Changehost of Deceit – Duplicitous Malediction

A Thousand Sons character or Lord of Change can be gifted this Enhancement.  You are able to redeploy up three Thousand Sons units from your army.  Those lovely new Sekhetar Robots can be deployed far forward to push the enemy back and then be pulled back placed where they need to be.  This can be helpful to blunt some armies ability to push forward into your army or at least keep a kill from those pesky Coterie players.

3 – Rubricae Phalanx – Risen Rubricae

Give this to one of your Infernal Masters and let 2 units of Rubricae Marines Infiltrate.  It lets you create a nice “Overwatch Threat” as well as just gets you on an objective quickly.  You mix this iwth the double move Ritual and you can easily be in a place that is a pain in the butt for the enemy.

2 – Warpmeld Pact – Diamond of Distortion

A Tzaangor Shaman can have this treasure and attach to a unit of Tzaangor Englighten to create a very annoying harasser unit.  This gives the unit a -1 to be hit and with their Precision bows with Lethal Hits they can easily sneak around and murder a character hiding within your unit.

1 – Warpforged Cabal – Perplexing Cloak

Give this to an Exalted Sorcerer on Disc to create a flying little unit that can greatly benefit your vehicles with this detachment.  It grants the bearer Lone Operative if they are within 3″ of a vehicle which is important as they empower vehicles they happen to be within 6″ of.

Are you ready for the evil Librarians of Chaos to come and ruin your day with magical bullets and crazy looking robots?  Are you ready for those Predators to be even more of a pain in the butt?  How about the slow grind of Golden boys decked out in Turquoise?
