Next week sees the pre-order release of a whole coterie of Soulblight Gravelords and their undead accompaniment.

Death reigns within the Mortal Realms this week as the Soulblight Gravelords bloom forth, like macabre roses, from their coffins to visit new terror upon the living. That’s right! It’s time for a new battletome – but it’s not just a book, there are so many new minis accompanying them, including a new Spearhead box to kickstart your collection. Skeletons. Vampire. There’s something for everyone who wants more undead minis. And it all starts with a new battletome.

AoS Soulblight Pre-Orders

In the Battletome for the Soulblight Gravelords, you’ll find a whole slew of updated rules, lore, and data sheets. On top of that, a new skeletal Spearhead, Regiments of Renown, and two Armies of Renown. All of which is well and good, but you’ll need miniatures for all the new toys in the book. Fortunately, that’s also a part of next week’s preorders.

And leading the charge is Prince Vordhrai, Lord of the Crimson Keep. There, Vordhrai is both prisoner and rule, able to lead hordes of undead into battle.

Next up are the Blades of the Hollow King, led by Cado Ezechiar are a group of vampiric assassins that can be used as a regiment of renown.

Or lead your forces with a Vampire Lord on Nightmare Steed. These are killer at the forefront of a lance Blood Knights, but even on their own they can be devastating.

A Wight King on Skeletal Steed is another great leadership option. These ancient revenants can inspire their legions, and can be built as also a Wight Lord on Skeletal Steed if you want a lesser option.

Barrow Knights, on the other hand, are perfect heavy cavalry. They skewer foes on ancient lances, and come with interchangeable shields and helmets, as well as options for a champion, musician, and standard bearer.

Barrow Guard are the elite footsoldiers of the Brrow Kingdoms. They can be built with either shields and swords or two-handed glaives. You can also kit them out with two banner bearers and two musicians.

Deathrattle Skeletons are, ironically, the meat of the armies of the Barrow Kingdoms. In an updated kit, you’ll get 20 Deathrattle Skeletons with blade, spear, and shield arms, and options for two champions and standard bearers.

The Soulblight Gravelords have also a set of three Manifestations, including an Unholy Reliquary to channel necromantic energy, Sanguine Swarms, to harass your foes, and of course the mighty Hand of Nagash.

And what would a Soulblight release be without sepulchral terrain to scatter on the battlefield. The Cursed Sepulchres are focuses for spellcasting and raising the dead. In this kit, you can build Cursed Sepulchres or Nexuses of Grief for the Nighthaunt armies.

Finally, there’s the new Spearhead: Bloodcrave Hunt box that comes with Vampire Lord, three Vargheists, Ffive Blood Knights, and 20 new Deathrattle skeletons.

Or pick up the new Knives of the Crone Underworlds Warband. These are secret worshippers of the aelven goddess of prophecy who can use limited visions to empower their attacks and improve their odds of winning in the ever-snaring Underworlds.

All this, next week!
