Book II of the Cthulhu vs. Musketeers saga, All the Cardinal’s Men, is up on Kickstarter now. Richelieuthulu does not want you to back it.
Call of Cthulhu is one of those TTRPGs that lends itself extremely well to a variety of settings. You’d be hard pressed to find a place where it doesn’t fit. Especially since there seems to be no end of how far folks are willing to push the boundary. Sure, some settings offer a little less horror and a little more action, but let’s be honest, when was the last time you played Call of Cthulhu as an actual horror RPG and not as a “how many shoggoths can I blow up with the C-4 we stole from the SWAT Team” simulator?
At any rate, in All the Cardinal’s Men, we get a follow-up to the hugely popular Cthulhu vs. Musketeers. This time it’s up to the Musketeers to both protect the king AND stop the nefarious cultists that have infiltrated the throne. How? Let’s check it out.

It almost seems a no-brainer. The high-action of Alexandre Dumas’ Musketeers against the slithering schemes of Mythos cultists? A match made in R’lyeh, to be certain. But will the point of your sword be sharp enough to protect the king? And just what is lurking behind that iron mask, anyway?
This campaign is for book 2 of the Musketeers vs. Cthulhu saga, but you don’t have to have played the first book to be ready for this one. There are plenty of on-ramps for you to jump into the unfolding saga. Or you can play the first mission again and see how it connects to the larger story.

Whether you choose to continue your game with the inseparable Musketeers you played in the first book or join the Cardinal’s network of spies from the new book, you will be thrust once more into eldritch plots, courtly intrigues and epic battles. The Kickstarter runs for the next 22 days, and has already swung past its funding goal from a nearby chandelier. Which means you have plenty of time to unlock all four adventures, plus new pre-generated player characters, NPCs, and even map packs for the adventure. You can also get custom dice, even some standees for GM maps if that’s what you like.
