Games Workshop Rumor Engine: Fork, Yeah?

Games Workshop has a new Rumor Engine out today, and it’s time to stick a fork in this one. I think we’re done!
Welcome to another Tuesday Rumor Engine. Today’s image is a curious one. It totally could be food-related. Perhaps GW has teamed up with Gordon Ramsay. It could be some crazy cross-promotional thing. Or, more likely, it’s just a really scary weapon. But you should have a look before we go any further.
“Are you hungry? We are, and that fact might have something to do with this decidedly meaty-looking image we’ve just pried from the Rumour Engine’s output nozzle. Now, it could also be a rock, but it’s been a week since they tossed something into the WarCom Penance Oubliette and at this point we’d honestly eat anything.”

Rumor Engine – Fork, Yeah?
So what are we looking at exactly? Great question, and kind of why we’re all here, right? Is it a fork? A pitchfork? Just a really weird trident? I don’t know. And like the text said, maybe that’s a rock and not a hunk of meat. But suppose it IS a hunk of meat. Then who’s forkin’ it?
Chaos is a good candidate, right? It seems like something right up Glutos’ alley. I’m pretty sure his goal is to taste everything (does that include tactical rocks — we may never know). But he’s also not the only glutton around…
The Ogor Mawtribes are another option. They are known for their culinary exploits. Or at least feared for them. They also have some outsized cooking utensils lying around. The Great Mawpot is an example of one. However, there’s another army that is known to feast as well.
The Flesh-eater Courts do like to get their grub on. Sometimes that meal is people. That said, they quite literally had a warband that was a bunch of chefs wandering around looking for food to cook due to their great delusion. So I’d toss them in the ring as possible candidates.
Now, I haven’t really included anything from the 40k side of the house. Maybe that was GW’s intention, and this hunk of meat is just a red herring. Regardless, I can’t think of any 40k armies this could fit, but if you have a theory, drop us a line in the comments to share it with the rest of us.
So, who do you think is getting forked here?
