Crude though they may be, even Orruk weapons have their roots in reality.

The new Orruk Warclans book has officially dropped. With it comes the full introduction of the swamp-dwelling Kruleboyz, the most devoted servants of Kragnos and the latest threat to the Mortal Realms. Unlike most other Orruks, they utilize tactics and dirty tricks to achieve their ends, rather than brute force. This lets them make extensive use of surprisingly sophisticated and accurate ranged weapons. However, they're still Orruks, so even their sophisticated weapons look shoddy and crude compared to other factions that have access to master smiths and decent metals.

Even with the poor quality, some of the signature Kruleboyz weapons are reminiscent of weapons and tools from real-world history, both on the battlefield and as part of a torturer's toolkit. While that isn't surprising since all weapons have similar roots, it's interesting to see how the rudimentary weapons of the Orruks Warclans compare to their counterparts.
