Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters reveals four new advanced classes. Check out the Paladin, Chaplain, Librarian, and Purifier.

Warhammer 40K: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters promises tactical Grey Knight action of the highest order. And in a new trailer, we get a look at Daemonhunters’ advanced classes. The devs revealed four advanced classes in Daemonhunters. At least, four so far.

Daemonhunters’ Advanced Classes

one of daemonhunters advanced classes - the paladin facing a chaos dreadnaught

There’s the Paladin. Clad in terminator armor, the Paladin brings a powerful thunder hammer to the fight against Nurgle’s forces. With heavy armor and even heavier hits, a single Paladin is a frontline all their own.

One of Daemonhunters Advanced Classes - the Chaplain

The Chaplain emulates their tabletop compatriots. If you want to buff and boost your squad, a Chaplain is your go-to party support. In Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters, advanced classes change up your squad. Chaplains have have abilities that let them cleanse and sanctify against Chaos mutations. You’ll need that power to tackle Nurgle’s forces.

Librarians are the most powerful psykers in the Grey Knights. When you need powerful area attacks, call a Librarian. This advanced class is for raining down magic from afar.

Finally the Purifier cleanses things with fire. Doesn’t matter what. The cleansing flame might be short range, but it will remove mutations or afflictions and make it easier for your squad to fight a long war against Nurgle’s Bloom.

You can see all of these advanced classes in action in the video below:

Here’s a little more from the developers on how Daemonhunters’ advanced classes will operate:

Once unlocked during the campaign, units with these class specializations will be added to the additional unit rotation, obtainable via requisitions following a mission. Each class features a unique set of upgrades, with 36 possible abilities to unlock – some active, and some passive. Players must use a limited number of skill points per Grey Knight to define their specializations during a campaign.
