Notes

It looks like the hive fleets have evolved! Not only do we get better BS across both the Warriors and the Prime, the move to Strength & Toughness 5 will help a lot. Now the warriors are starting to feel like real middle-bugs. Just tough and durable enough to be a pain to remove in numbers.

The weapons are better pretty much any way you slice it. There are LOTS of increased AP, and the 8th Edition to 9th Edition move from variable damage to fixed damage. Devourers are MUCH better better with almost double the shots. Rending Claws going to AP-4 are scary now, as are the much improved Boneswords. It seems like GW has realized that they have to really improve melee weapons to make the ranged fire tradeoff worth it once you do get stuck in.

In general it’s all in line with the 9th Edition across the board increase in lethality.  NOM NOM NOM!
