Warhammer 40K: Top 10th Edition World Eaters Enhancements

Goatboy here with a top 5 list of the best Enhancements from the new 10th Edition World Eater codex, to bring you victory on the tabletop!
There are a lot of upgrades in this new Codex that range from powerful weapons, army enhancement powers, and just plane good updates for your army. I know you would think the World Eaters should all be weapons with the name of Skullbreaker, Skull-remover, and Blood Plate but there are some decent things in this book. Let’s step on up, pull out some PDF’s, and see what you should be choosing if you play one of these Detachments.
This is in no particular order as most of equally good. Right now I think the Berzerker Warband is probably the best with one of these best army abilities, amazing Enhancments, and powerful Stratagems. The other options could be interesting and again depending on how points roll out and sync up we could see some army choices shifting around. But we’re not there yet. Back to the Enhancements:
Berzerker Warband – Berzerker Glaive
This is basic default make your character better in combat option for this detachment. You get +1 attack and +1 damage to the character and it is one of the ways to get Damage 3 attacks on someone special. Damage 3 is pretty dang good as any half damage would still put it at 2 which is important when trying to chew through something tough. I currently like it on a Master of Execution or a Slaughtbrute as a way to get a once per game crazy beat stick.
Cult of Blood – Brazen Form
Here you have the simple ability of giving one of your Monsters (aka your Daemon Prince) a +1 to their toughness and a 5+ Feel No Pain. I expect this to show up on your foot Daemon Prince that is hiding amongst your waves of Jakhals and lets him become a Bronze god of doom while living their best life surrounded by cackling idiots. Also Brazen Form is a cool name and reminds me of that kung fun movie with Batista that would have him shift into a bronze form to block damage.
Khorne Daemonkin – Icon of War
A simple one that lets your World Eater model give out the Blessings of Khorne ability to the Blood Legion units nearby. Do you want your Khorne daemon to have Sustained hits 1? How about Lethal Hits 1? Or what if they have a 6″ Consolidation and Pile in Move? There is a lot you can combo up with this and let happen to your friendly neighborhood Khorne Daemons. It’s just the thing to throw on a Juggerlord attached to a big unit of Berzerkers.
Possessed Slaughterband – Frenzied Focus
Let your unit have a 5+ to cause critical hits seems pretty good for a unit of 6 Eightbound doesn’t it? Or you have the Slaughterbound who is leading it gets its +3 and lets them go ham into a unit. This seems pretty good and something to build around with say a Land Raider full of these jerks.
Goretrack Onslaught – Infernal Infusion
The World Eaters lost Fights First but now they got it for a once per game ability. I know the old way let you always fight that way but with this one you can set up your crazy go turn, let loose a bunch of Eightbound, and let them murder a ton of punks on the battlefield. I think this is one of those easy to use abilities and just very powerful for an army that wants to get into close combat.
These are the ones I like the most and would almost always take if I built an army around that detachment. I still have a soft spot for the Possessed Slaughtband option as I have so many Eightbound to play with. Will see what I end up on as I test other things and figure out the best “Goat” way to play World Eaters.
Blood for the Blood God!
