It looks like this week’s teaser was accurate –  the return of the Space Wolves on February 6th. Check it out!

The actual teaser image shoed up this morning, and it confirmed what everyone suspected since pics started dropping on Saturday: one last week of Age of Sigmar, and then the 13th Company returns!

new space wolves teaser

This lines up with the German sighting on over the weekend:

GW-Fanworld.net’s Dark Warrior reports:

From White Dwarf 105

In the Original German:

Teaser lautet; Nach 10.000 Jahren kehren die verlorenen Brüder zurück. Könnte auf Wulfen bzw. 13. Kompanie zielen?”

Translated into English:

Teaser: “After 10,000 years the lost brothers return.”

If you’re just tuning in, here’s a look at the Apace Wolves rumors that have been dropping:

via DakkaDakka’s Sad Panda 11-27-2015

Tyranids in January is nonsense. Fyreslayers.

Imp. Guard in February is nonsense. Space Wolves.

Not counting possible 1-week things (think Seraphon), only multi-week releases.

It’s not impossible there will be a FSE (Farsight Enclave) book, which may or may not be reprinting the rules from Mont’ka.I wouldn’t expect many miniatures with it. Probably just be the book, or a single clam-pack at most. There will be several 1-week things 2016.

News from BoLS earlier last week:

Sources have relayed to BoLS that the Space Wolves are returning this year, but there are some big caveats:

  • Look for the Space Wolves to return in the first half of the year, before summer arrives.
  • This will be a minor “reboxing release” ?
  • Look for some originally limited edition models to make their way into the standard SW range.
  • Look for mostly reboxings with updated bases and the like.
  • There is no current word on an updated codex.

And then this from late last week:

Also includes a decurion for Chaos Daemons

THE SPACE WOLVES ARE COMING! - New WD Spotted!

Now take a closer look at this cover: It looks to be issue 106, and dated February 6th, which is two weeks from now.  That is also the day of the now annual Horus Heresy weekender at Warhammer World.

Here’s what we had been hearing earlier in the week, but with this big reveal the actual release lineup is once again anyone’s guess. This Week’s news from BoLS

The Sky warriors of Fenris are coming in HOT!

New 2016 Space Wolves Roundup

  • Orodruin

    So, about those new pictures?

    • Emprah

Got to milk this same picture a few dozen more times before that!

  • Albert Ross

I look forward to seeing this picture under various new headlines every day for the next two weeks

  • Fexxo

Guys we have been wrong this whole time, that plastic bottom left it, moves further down I am sure of it… it must be… there is no other explanation… Sanguinius is that you…wait why you in the Space Wolves spoilers.

  • Siph

Where are these pics? Is the need to get page clicks now worth more than the want to give good articles and informative posts to hobbyists and gamers. Shame, used to be such a good site…

  • vlad78

    He-Man.

  • Dan Wilson

Super serial? Isn’t this like the THIRD “space wolves CONFIRMED” post (certainly not an article)…?

    • this one is a blurry pic tho, so its totally legit, besides, these days with all the distractions we have created for ourselves its practically mandatory to say things 3 times before people pay attention….or something

    • zeno666

Trust me, there will be at least three more. This is BoLS

      • Red_Five_Standing_By

        Twice a day, every day.

Each new tid bit of information deserves its own post!

  • Red_Five_Standing_By

Do the Space Puppies really need a new codex? I mean they have that supplement book filled with formations already.

    • Secundum

Yes-Space Wolves are the pet army of the design studio-and this is hardly a new Codex-it’s a re-release of an old one.

    • Spacefrisian

I do agree that there are some in more need of a new dex.

      • BT

        Blood Angels need it more.

        • Mr_Pickles

          Orks need one badly

          • Deathmage

Chaos havent had one since 6th, and it was outdated then. Get to the back of the line!

          • sethmo

Ork players need to get more creative.

      • shady

        Tyranids :'(

      • Chaos marines and Orks spontaneously come to mind. I really, really hope for a CSM codex that takes legions specialities into account.

  • karloss01

The next issue tag makes it sound like the 13th Company are getting a supplement book.

    • Spacefrisian

GW would neeever evar do that right?

      • Shiwan8

It’s their SMO to mess up everything so…yeah, it’s still unlikely. Even if it comes out it’s not on eldar level so it’s meaningless.

      • JP

They’ll do ANYTHING including stuff so obscure you never knew it was there to avoid doing Sisters.

        • Please define how the 13th Space Wolves company, a well known fluff element, is “so obscure”. Same with Harlequins and Adeptus Mechanicus. The only two codex we could have done without are Tempestus Scions and Imperial Knights as the Scions could have been included in the astra militarum, and the knight in the AM books.

          • JP

Ask somebody who is not obsessed with fluff and you’ll have the answer. There were lots of people in my gaming group that knew very little about anything outside the armies they played.

  • Bugsculptor

That front wolf-guy is definitely applying makeup from a powder compact.

    • It looks more like he’s going to start a snowball battle to me.

  • Shiwan8

About 5 seconds there I thought that this could be cool enough to buy. In that time all the negative things that GW has managed to do between the latest CSM codex and the present day came in to my mind.

The end result is “nope”. I’ll think about getting in to this crap when the game is in better shape. At the moment buying their stuff is like betting on a horse with no legs.

  • Knight_of_Infinite_Resignation

the big question is how many times can BoLs post the exact same story?

  • Melchior

Is it just me, or do the poses look like they were borrowed from a Riverdance performance?

    • DeadlyYellow

Bottom-right looks like he’s doing Hamlet.

“Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him…”

      • for a second there I read “Alas, poor Yarrick!”

  • BT

    So…Chaos Space Wolves?

    • Deathmage

Don’t be silly, why would chaos get a update ever?

  • Terminus

I guess Space Wolves are the goofy fantasy Marauders army in 40K now. Dudes riding wolves, santa sleds, these mutated things. Can we Exterminatus the whole Chapter yet, or what?

  • PHlevels

Well they brought back the Harlequin codex. And now that the 13th company is back those rumors about Gene Stealer Cults coming back don’t seem so far fetched. Who knows maybe even the squats will come back.
