Hello BoLS Readers! I’m excited to get to share this with you all today because it’s a game I’ve been looking forward to for awhile now. Space Hulk: Deathwing is up for Pre-Order right now via Steam and they have an official release date for November 2016! It’s also on sale right now for 15% off…

Powered by Unreal 4, Space Hulk: Deathwing is a first person shooter, with tactical elements set in Games Workshop’s gritty Warhammer 40,000 universe. Today’s screenshots showcase an elite Terminator squad of the Deathwing as they cleanse a gigantic Space Hulk of the Xeno threat.

Space Hulk: Deathwing is playable cooperatively as well as in single player. You can join forces as up to four friends, with each of you playing a tactical role in Space Hulk: Deathwing. As the Librarian, you can take up arms with the infamous Storm Bolter and harness psychic powers to unleash destruction on the enemy.

The heavy weapon support can mow down Genestealers with his assault cannon, while the Apothecary is tasked with keeping the squad alive. The melee-oriented assault class can shred foes with brutal assault claws, or barge through the front line with shield and power mace.

Finally, a tactician specialist can support the team with a passive buff as well as other abilities, which is useful for controlling the swarms of Genestealers. Teamwork is the key to success against the insurmountable enemy force, constantly flooding through the tunnels and corridors of the Space Hulk.

Players will be able to pre-order the game on Steam at 10am PDT, and will benefit from the following bonuses:

  • 15% off the price of the game
  • 1 in-game weapon – the Lost Mace of Corswain

And if those awesome screenshots don’t have you convinced how about some of the gameplay footage:

    Clump… clump… clump… clump… veeeeeeeeee-brakka-brakka-brakka-voooooooo… clump… clump… clump…

    • dave long island

Is that the intro to Pink Floyd’s ‘Welcome to the Machine’?

      • Eric Buchanan

Amazing. My only regret is I have but one +1 to give.

        • dave long island

          Lol, thx Eric!

  • Lee Williams

15% off of what? I mean what the hell really. If Steam paid you to write this, they wasted their money.

And why the hell do I have PC games on a TABLETOP site?!?!?

    • Because it is related to the biggest topic on the site? The tabletop games adapted into other media? You could just as well ask why there’s posts about The Lord Inquisitor, lore articles or shareholder-related stuff. Heck, right now there’s a post on the frontpage about 40k-ified Disney songs.

    • Urban Bungledorph

Right? They post all the time about non tabletop stuff so long as it’s related to the major IPs. Don’t get butthurt, other people could be delighted to read this article.

      • Bryan Ruhe

Like me. 🙂 Space Hulk has deep roots in tabletop.

      • Lee Williams

Yeah you’re right, my bad. Just wish they would classify articles better so I’m not wasting my screwing off at work time.

        • vladmech

What? Like, the very first sentence says it’s up for pre-order on Steam. At most you’re looking at maybe seven seconds of your time wasted there, is that really enough to flip out about? >_<

    • Eric Buchanan

Also Steam or Valve prolly isn’t paying BOLS to shill. Perhaps the developer or the publisher but not valve. At least direct your senseless rage at the proper target.

      • Lee Williams

The “senseless rage” wasn’t about who paid them to write it. It was about the poor dissemination of information. Telling us it is 15% off without the price tag was what makes it an irrelevant article.
I have to go to Steam when I get home now (Steam blocked from work) to find out how much it is. Since I have to go to Steam anyway, it makes the rest of the article irrelevant.

        • vladmech

          $39.99 down to $33.99 with pre-order discount.

        • Eric Buchanan

Not irrelevant, you know now the game is up for preorder. and Vlad got you the price.

    • ZeeLobby

Because it’s what GW does now.

  • Xodis

Im 85% sold on this game, still going to wait a bit to be sure…i’ve been hurt before lol

    • OldHat

At 15% off, you only have to give that 85% and you are there! Risk mitigation at its finest! 😛

      • Xodis

        Good call lol

      • ZeeLobby

Lol. I’ll wait for next summer steam sale when I can get it for $5.

  • Bryan Ruhe

Hooray! If only my computer was technically sufficient to run this.

  • Admiral Raptor

Looks pretty good. I’ll wait a few months and see what the general consensus is. Hopefully by then Steam will have it’s winter sale on and I can get it for cheap.

  • Iconoc1ast

  • Iconoc1ast
