Overview: Legion of Everblight Command

The Legion of Everblight’s Command Book is in stores now – come see what you can expect with this new tome of the dragon!

Followers of Everblight, rejoice! The Legion’s new Command book has got everything you’ve come to expect from Privateer Press – and then some…

This new Legion of Everblight Command book has the history of the Legion up to this point. All the Lore you could want to sink your teeth into is included as well as background for each Warlock, Warbeast, Unit, Solo, Battle Engine and Gargantuan! Oh and don’t forget the new theme forces that are also included, too! It’s got something for everyone.

I don’t play Legion, but I do enjoy reading up on the Lore and history of the forces in this book. I didn’t know that Kallus was actually eaten! But he’s back now and stronger than before… That’s part of the fun for me in reading these Command books. Also, I appreciate the fact that everything is in one consolidated spot. Sure, you could just buy the decks (either the physical or digital versions) but I don’t remember getting to learn about the history of each Warlock or Beast on those cards. That might not be the case for everyone, but hey, I like creating a narrative in my head for what’s going on. It helps me “buy-in” to the game when I’m playing.

Aside from that, Tournament players will also want to check this one out simply because, as of right now, this book has all the current rules for the Legion. And, again, they are all consolidated in one handy place.

And if you’re struggling to get your forces painted up to a good table-top quality, then you should flip back to the painting section for some pointers. Privateer Press has done a pretty good job breaking down the basic paint schemes so you know what colors to purchase. If you’re looking for even more tips check out their Youtube Channel for some great painting tutorials.

Overall, I’d consider this a must buy if you consider yourself a fan of Everblight. If you’re not, but you’re curious, it’s still a good read. Plus, odds are you’re probably going to be squaring off against them at some point so it might be worth it to study up on your enemy…

Legion of Everblight Command $34.99

Hailing from the frozen northern wastes, the Legion of Everblight represents many different races gathered and corrupted by the insidious power of the dragon Everblight. Led by preternaturally potent warlocks, each of whom holds within her breast a shard of the dragon’s own essence, endless ranks of blighted Nyss and ogrun march forth to spread the dragon’s corruption to the farthest reaches of Immoren and beyond. This formidable army is backed by twisted and terrifying dragonspawn born from the very blood of Everblight’s generals and shaped by his own nightmarish imagination.
