The League has been kicked off!

We had almost 30 folks show up at Battleforge Games, and the Warhammer 30,000 League is off to a great start. This first week featured small pairings of 1000pt Legion forces against a variety of alien threats, and 2 hallmark games: The Ullanor Campaign against the Orks, and the Emperor’s Children striking against the Laer. Lets do a quick recap so everyone can see how the Emperor’s Finest held up.

Ullanor
Luna Wolves, Ultramarines, White Scars vs Orks
This was the end for Warlord Urrlak Urruk. Faced with the a huge 10,000pt game, the Legions totally routed the Ork menace. Urruk was slain and his forces were devastated with minimal Imperial Losses. Garviel Loken was seen hacking his way to victory during the final phases of this decisive rout.

Laeran
Emperor’s Children vs Laer (nids)
The tactical decision making of Lord Comander Eidolon has again been called into question. While legion losses were light, this xenos menace still lives to challenge the Imperium. Fulgrim is said to planning an exhaustive campaign to correct the battlefield failure of his most senior commander.
World Status: Non-compliance

Lambosha Prime
Alpha Legion, Night Lords vs Techno Heretics (necrons)
With bloodthirsty savagery, the combined arms of Night Haunter and Alpharius have sent this empire of banned thinking machines into the pages of history. Accounts were made of such ferocity at the hands of the Night Lords, that several of the sentient machines were seen cutting and running for their mechanical lives, only to be mercilessly crushed by the Alpha Legion.
World Status: Total Compliance

Lambosha Secundus
Dark Angels, Raven Guard vs Techno Heretics (necrons)

A second front in the Legion advance into the Lambosha system. Here again, the thinking machines were ground to dust under the jackboot of the Legions. None survived.

Daeturno
Iron Warriors, Death Guard vs Hordes of Daeturno (nids)
Fighting back to back, Captain Garro and First Captain Forrix were injured while pushing back the xenos monstrosities of the Daeturno. While losses were heavy, the solid footing of these two legions has won a hard-fought world for the Imperium of Man.
World Status: Compliance

Gehenna III
World Eaters, Word Bearers vs Eldar Cabalite Raiders
Both Kharn, and Kor Phaeron were insufficient to turn aside a vicious cabal of eldar pirates. With heavy losses, both legions have fallen back to their drop sites to consider the next phase of what will be a lengthy campaign.

Tiefwald Primaris
Salamanders, Thousand Sons vs Tiefwald Guard (IG)
The Tiefwald guard under command of Fieldmarshall “bully” Mikoff, has put up a spirited resistance against the sons of Vulcan and Magnus. The bravery and industrial might of Tiefwald is to commended, and the legions will continue their campaign to ensure such a mighty bastion of humanity is firmly brought into the sphere of the Imperium. An intercepted Tiefwald military report of the action can be seen here.
World Status: Non-compliance

Mordia Prime
Space Wolves, Blood Angels vs Mordian Iron Guard (IG)
As on Tiefwald, a strong human military culture has slowed the advance of these 2 legions. Leman Russ himself is said to be personally directing this campaign’s continued operations.
World Status: Non-compliance
