Goatboy here again with another SC themed list. The idea today is to take Logan and create a drop pod style list that is all about bringing the hurt in.

It is a small model count list, giving a player a huge chance to really create a cool looking army that is not huge so you can spend your time on each model. Is it any good? I don’t know. It has a lot of tools to help deal with armies, the big worry is I think a horde list will just be too much for it to handle. But who the hell knows, a smart player can set up murder tunnels and create avenues of victory to hurt your opponent.

So without much else – a Logan droppod list – 1850 points of flavor to savor.

Drop-Logan Thoughts
Cheap one shot Plasma is still good, especially when dealing with MC’s. In fact the Plasma Squads can pour out 6 Plasma shots, and 2 ML shots at any MC. With the Thunder Hammer and Chainfist, any MC coming near should die to your power of the Hammer/Chainsaw punch. You also have a large amount of melta to help keep tanks in check as well as 6 ML shots and 2 D6 Autocannon shots. The Chooser of the Slain is there so people don’t set up on your objectives with Scouts and start the game off like a bunch of jerks. Plus BS 5 Lightning is pretty dang sweet.

This is a list I have thought about building as I would just need to get a bunch of Combi Plasmas or make a bunch. It is a thought and something to think about as I feel it would be a good – dang that looks like sweet list on the battle field. I don’t think it has the staying power versus a lot of other strong lists, but I do think it can get them scared with some of the shenanigans it can pull.

Drop Logan anyone?  Also what other super low model-count elite lists do you think have a chance in modern 5th edition?
