Beginning on Saturday, October 16, Forge World books will be sold in GW retails shops in North America. Stores are receiving shipments this week. Being small shops for the most part stores will in general carry one copy of each book at a time. This is not the small, seemingly random and limited selection that has been in some of the shops for some time, but the wide and full or nearly full range of Forge World books as regular stock items. This should be welcome news for a lot of North American Warhammer 40,000 enthusiasts who are within reasonable driving distance of a Games Workshop store. And something tells me we may start to see a lot more Forge World models soon after on game tables around the continent.

My favorite local shop already got their shipment of these books in the other day and began arranging their displays to make room for this added product.

From what I’ve seen when they used to sell these books in our Battle Bunkers and judging from the reaction of other customers in the store when these were unpacked this week I think this will spark a lot of impulse buying with the books right under people’s noses. And when people buy these books they tend to fall in love with the models pictured in them and buy some of those too. Forge World books are beautifully done and are a lot of fun. They also often end becoming very expensive shopping lists!
