So as some of you have seen from the video – I painted a Chaos Reaver Titan for a client.   Lets take a closer look.

This was a monstrous kit and without some of my local helpers, this bad boy would have never gotten finished. So before we get into anything about it let me thank them for the help they gave me.

Minus67 – The guy that got you to hate fantasy Dark Elves put the monster together. He has done an Imperial one as well as some Warhounds too. Without him I would have probably gotten some resin stuck on me somewhere. Hell I would have probably glued my fingers together too. He put the Titan on its base with two long screws. I am shipping the thing this week so I am glad I got a good wooden base that I could drill into and stick to the plastic tub it is shipping in.

Bushido Red Panda – You know this guy as the other Titan painter as well as a hobby poster here on BoLS. He is doing some bad ass Deathwing guys for Adepticon this year and he helped me get magnets in this bad boy. In fact he did put the magnets in here. I didn’t have the drill bits and he was nice enough to help out. Most likely that is the reason why I painted all his Death Wing bases and will be building the board for it too. Hehe you got to love trades.

Of course Big Red took the pics of the Titan as I had no real way to get it in my light box. Plus it was giving me crap and telling me I am too fat. Stupid Chaos.

I painted this bad boy by hand as I haven’t had a chance to fully practice with my airbrush. I have a Stompa I will be painting soon so watch me practice some airbrushing with that kit. But here it is in all its glory just waiting for the internet to give me some crap for painting it green or doing my lovely red glow I like to do. It was a blast to do and the time it took was about 7 hours of overall painting. For models this big you can do some neat fat brush techniques to get the metal that lovely kinda of brushed dark metal fairly easily with some simple coats. I usually go a dark brown, then lighter brown, followed by Tin Bitz and then Bolt Gun with mithril Silver highlights to make it pop. Hope you enjoy it as it was a blast to do.

If you have questions or would want me to do a Titan for you shoot me an email.
