They also discussed some of the more noteworthy characters from the Legion, spending a lot of time on Lucius. After a lengthy segment, the cast moved on to the ‘Armoury’ where they teamed up to create a couple of Emperor’s Children lists. Jim and Kamil took on the 1850 point post Hersey list, and Chase and Christina built a 2000 point pre-Hersey list. Then, in the ‘Briefing Room’, the staff answered some questions from their fans. They closed out the show with the ‘Hobby Trenches’ where they discuss all sorts of ideas for an Emperor’s Children army, including tips for painting purple and pink, modeling, and much more!
Opinion: The boys march through the codices of 40K moved on to a Codex near and dear to my heart. The Wolves are an army I put down after the Necron Codex dropped and I have been flirting with the idea of dusting them off, and this show has helped my decision making process. As usual, the boys do an admirable job at looking at the first part of the Codex and reviewing it. I especially like the looks at Codices as they have all really changed in the new edition. I am looking forward to their next show!
Highlights: The guys are back after an extended break for the holidays! They opened up this week’s show with ‘This Week in Gaming’ where they covered what they have been doing over the holidays, including some Vassel 40K, games played, and more. Next, in ‘Pat’s Corner’, Pat had an interview with Brandon from the White Scars blog and they discussed his competitive White Scars army. Then, Pat talked to Kenny Boucher of Next Level Painting, and they talked a bit about his painting service and his new CSM list. Pat also interviewed Neil Kurr and discussed his all bike ETC style Space Marine list. Up next, Tactical Terrain Eric is back and this week he is looking back at the year that was 2012 and the trends in terrain and how it affects the game.
He also made a few bold predictions for 2013 and he believes we will see this year. Next, Pat talked to John ‘Yakface’ Regul and they discussed the reasoning behind discontinuing the INAT FAQ with him at the helm. They closed out the show with some interviews from the community and of course answering questions from their Facebook fans!
Opinion: Man was it good to have the 11thCompany back this week, two weeks without is just too long! While a bit of a shorter episode this week, it was still full of a lot of cool interviews. This week I found that Tactical Terrain Eric’s segment was the one that stood out, as we have watch the evolution of terrain in 6th, I am looking forward to what GW has in store for this year. Also, the interview with ‘Yakface’ was quite interesting. The INAT has become a staple of my gaming group, and hearing his reasoning for stepping down from it made sense.
Next, Leon was back and he and Dave got back to the ‘Forged in Battle’ segment and this week they discussed Forgeworld on the tournament scene and if it should be used or not. They then take a look at some of the 40K Approved units out of Imperial Armour I: Second Edition. Next up on the ‘Q&A-Team’, the boys answered some questions from the Facebook fans. Then, the guys take a sneak peak at the new Dark Angels codex, starting with a look at the Deathwing and Ravenwing forces of the army. They then took a look at the new models due out, especially the new Dark Talon flier and the Land Speeder Vengeance. They also cover what rules and point costs there were able to pick up from the White Dwarf article.
Highlights: This week is the last show of the calendar year, and the boys opened up with what they have been doing lately in the hobby and gaming. They then cover the goals that they have for 2013, including armies to be completed and hobby to be finished. They move on to talk about the latest run of rumors out there on the internet; this included a very detailed look at the Dark Angels rumors. In ‘Power Creep’ the guys discussed the Imperial Guard! They talked about how the IG has changed with the new edition of the game, including rules changes, and what worked in 5thand is still working in 6th, and new tactics the guys have been using with the IG!
