Are we in for an EPIC cliffhanger? Will the (rumored) Blood Angel release be in January?
It’s actually not unprecedented for Games Workshop to wait to Jan to release the next big thing, to be honest. What is unprecedented may be actual December releases in general. It seems like Games Workshop has never really felt the need to release anything new in late November and December. Remember all those Tyranids in December rumors last year?

They never turned out to be true, and the bugs came out Q1 2014. Even the highly anticipated 5th Edition Orks were rumored to be a December release, but they didn’t show up until January of 2008. Why may their not be any “new” releases until January may just be a simple case of “low hanging fruit”.

GW is going to sell minis for the holidays regardless of what they are. As a matter of fact some studies suggest that most companies do up to 68% of their yearly business in the five weeks or so around Black Friday.

In the past Games Workshop seems to have put the emphasis on Stocking Stuffer, and Big Ticket Items like Army Boxes, Titans, big monsters, etc.

Plus this year GW seems to actually be advertising as well, as I’ve noticed some strategic Ad Words campaigns in place perhaps in an attempt to siphon off sales from their larger partner level stores.

Seems like GW maybe gearing up for a big holiday seasons, minus the stuff we all seem to want; the Sons of Sanguinius.
What do YOU think? Will we see new Red Space Marines by the holidays?
