There are 48 Hours Left to get in on Pacific Rim Extinction. At nearly five times its requested goal, this tabletop miniatures game of Jaegers vs. Kaiju aims to bring all the hard hitting action of the movie to your tabletop.

Let’s kick things off with a sweet look at some of the third wave models, including the new Striker Eureka mini:

Or there’s these friends, who just want to have a good time.

At any rate, you can still back the Kickstarter for another 48 hours. So check out the Kickstarter campaign below, while you still can.

Pacific Rim: Extinction is a scenario-driven, tabletop miniatures strategy game of city-wide destruction and chaos of epic proportions, for two or more players. Join either the Pan Pacific Defence Corps or the invading Kaiju, and face off in a battle with the ultimate stake: extinction.

Getting started in Pacific Rim: Extinction is easy; the core set contains everything you need to start playing, including painted ~ 75mm Gipsy Avenger and Shrikethorn miniatures, dice, cards, tokens, buildings, terrain, Hex Gauge measuring tool, poster mat, and more.

The Early Bird specials might be gone, but you can still pledge and get the core set plus some sweet expansion models. And they look pretty great with each model ranging from 75mm~100mm in size. Check out some of these optional add-ons:

The game play itself is divided into two modes: Quick Play or Constructed Battles. Quick Play is your basic game with the core set – it’s designed to get you up and going pretty quick…hence the name. However, Constructed Battles has a bit more depth:

In Constructed Battle, you’ll be able to fully customise the Jaegers and Kaiju to your own preferences, then pit them against each other in an intense objective-based battle. The Kaiju player chooses the scale of the attack based on the combined Category Rating of all Kaiju in play. This is known as the ‘Threat Level’. The Jaeger player then builds a PPDC response force. Jaegers, Rangers, and Upgrades all have points values, and the total points of a Jaeger team must be equal to or less than double the Kaiju Threat Level.

To Mend And Defend…or Not.

The goal of the game is different depending on which side you choose to fight with. As a Kaiju player, you’ll uncover a secret objective at the start of the game. To win, you’ll need to meet this objective, ideally without revealing what it is to the Jaeger player too early. As a Jaeger player, your goal is to fulfil the PPDC’s task: the protection of humanity. You’ll need to defend cities as Kaiju trample them, and take down the immense invaders.

If you’re curious about how the players can customize their Jaegers & Kaiju, or if you want to know how the game works, you can read-up all that on their Kickstarter page as well.
