We now have a title and description for the next D&D book, due out in May. Come see what lies inside the Ghosts of Saltmarsh.

Earlier this weekend, the first details around the upcoming Nautical-themed D&D book appeared on Amazon. Now we have a title for what was once affectionately called Boats and Shite, now reborn as the Ghosts of Saltmarsh. More than that, we have details about the new book–it’s an adventure anthology, much like 2017’s Tales from the Yawning Portal which took adventurers back through classic adventures from throughout the editions. Only the Ghosts of Saltmarsh takes us through some of the greatest nautical themed adventures.

As we saw earlier this month, old modules like U3 – The Final Enemy make an appearance here, updated for 5th Edition. In fact, players will find the entire U series reprinted: The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh, Danger at Dunwater, and The Final Enemy all make an appearance, alongside other classic adventures from throughout the editions.

And from Dungeon Magazine no less. It’s exciting to see some of these adventures get their turn in the spotlight. If you’ve never played Tammeraut’s Fate, for instance, you’re in for a treat.

A sunken ship, an island hermitage, and martial arts zombies give your heroes the fright of their lives. A D&D adventure for 6th-level PCs.

Helmed by the newest Wizard, Kate Welch, the Ghosts of Saltmarsh looks like an excellent adventure resource with new rules, monsters, and dungeons to run through. The book is slated for release May 21st on Amazon (and presumably wide-release as well) but might be available at your FLGS earlier. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer–but for now, have a look at Ghosts of Saltmarsh…

Ghosts of Saltmarsh brings classic adventures into fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons.
