40K RUMORS: Primaris Transport(S) Edition
Get in here for the latest on the long-rumored Primaris transports we all know are lurking out there in the rumor-mist.
OK folks, we’ve been hearing about new Primaris kits and vehicles in particular since last fall. Here’s the latest on the new marine rides straight off the rumorsphere:
Industry Professionals tell us:
- Look for not one but two Primaris transports coming.
- One will be based on the existing Repulsor kit.
- It will trade firepower for extra transport capacity.
- The second kit is a small highspeed vehicle.
- It bridges the concept of a flyer and an opened top vehicle.
Thoughts
Number one is no surprise. If we didnt’ get a smaller Rhino sized hover tank – the next easiest thing is for GW to just reuse the Repulsor kit. I’d imagine a version with no turret up top, some hatch and sensor do-dads to cover the turret-ring, and a new set of lessor powered weapons. Basically a sprue swap – and more transport capacity. I’ll let you all guess what the capacity of a down-gunned Repulsor would be.
Number two is the interesting one. Are we talking about something similar to chunkier Land Speeder Storm with bigger “flyer-style” wings, or a “convertible” Stormraven with no doors or roof? Or something else entirely. It’s an interesting concept as described.
But in any case one or both of these are needed asap – The Primaris range is getting full fast, but all your bread and butter troops still have to huff it on foot. I’d love to be able to zoom up-table with some Hellblasters.
