Marvel’s new slate, Picard, and The Witcher weren’t the only debuts at SDCC – a ton of trailers and news dropped during panels over the weekend. Take a look at what’s coming to the big and small screens near you.

The Boys – on Amazon July 26th (today)
People love that cozy feeling that superheroes give them, but if you knew half of the things they are up to…diabolical. Time to declare war. Created by Evan Goldberg, Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen ; stars Karl Urban, Chace Crawford, Dominique McElligott, and Jack Quaid.

 

Ad Astra – in theaters September 20th
Astronaut Roy McBride travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos. Directed by James Gray; stars Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, James Gray, Anthony Katagas, Rodrigo Teixeira, Arnon Milchan.

 

Creepshow – on Shudder September 26th
Based on the iconic 1982 film written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero, comes a new horror anthology series from the mind of The Walking Dead executive producer Greg Nicotero. Stars David Arquette, Adrienne Barbeau, Tobin Bell, Big Boi, Jeffrey Combs, Kid Cudi, Bruce Davison, Giancarlo Esposito, Dana Gould, Tricia Helfer and DJ Qualls.

21 Bridges – in theaters on September 27
21 Bridges follows an embattled NYPD detective, who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 21 BRIDGES to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island. Directed by Brian Kirk; stars Chadwick Boseman, Sienna Miller, J.K. Simmons, Taylor Kitsch, and Keith David.

 

Terminator: Dark Fate – in theaters November 1st
More than two decades after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Sarah Connor sets out to protect a young woman named Dani Ramos and her friends, as a liquid metal Terminator, sent from the future, attempts to terminate them. Directed by Tim Miller; stars Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, and Diego Boneta.

 

Watchmen – on HBO later this year
Watchmen takes place in an alternative, contemporary reality in the United States, in which masked vigilantes became outlawed due to their violent methods. Despite this, some gather around in order to start a revolution while others are going out to stop it before it is too late, as a greatly wide question levitates above them all; who watches the Watchmen? Showrunner is Damon Lindelof; stars Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Jean Smart, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Hong Chau, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, and James Wolk.

Snowpiercer – on TBS Spring 2020

Westworld Season 3 – on HBO 2020

Maverick – in theaters 2020
Pete “Maverick” Mitchell mentors a new generation of U.S. Navy fighter pilots. Directed by Joseph Kosinski;stars Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, and Ed Harris.

One last one because it’s terrible, and not because it’s a musical: Cats will hit theaters on December 20th. It’s… something. Be sure to stock up on your hallucinogen of choice before seeing it in the theater.
