Just a friendly reminder that the Slayer of Kings is up for grabs with the first round of events happening this Saturday.

The Slayer of Kings is up for grabs in all it’s brutal beauty. Check out this amazing replica for Archaon’s deadly blade in closer detail:

Win The Everchosen – Win The Slayer of Kings

There is only one way to win this sword and that is to participate and win the WORLD WIDE painting competition that Games Workshop is putting on which kicks off this weekend.

via Warhammer Community

“In order to get your hands on this glorious replica of Archaon’s infamous blade, you’ll need to head down to your local store this Saturday to enter. As well as the competition itself, there will be loads of other activities taking place in-store, and it will be a great opportunity to chat to the other painters, swap techniques and gawp at the array of shiny miniatures on display. “

So how does will this painting competition work? GW has a handy guide right HERE which you can check out but here are the basics:

  • Your entry must be a Citadel miniature.
  • Your entry must be wholly owned and painted by you.

There are THREE categories to compete in – but only the Everchosen category will give you a shot at winning the sword. Those three categories are Open, Young Blood, and Everchosen.

Everchosen Specific Rules

  • This category can be entered by any non-staff aged 16 or over.
  • This must be a single Warhammer miniature on a 60mm or smaller base.
  • The miniature must be a current part of the Citadel miniatures range – defined as currently featuring on Games-Workshop.com. Entries may be converted using parts from other models which meet the same requirements.

Voting Starts July 27th

“To be in with a chance to win, make sure to head down to your local store on the 27th of July. You’ll be able to cast one vote in each category, and the top three winners in each will get a certificate to commemorate their triumph.

The top winner of the Everchosen category in each participating store can go on to compete in the global competition for a chance to win the ultimate prize – the Slayer of Kings. This Store Champion will receive instructions on how to submit their entry from there.

Some other terms and conditions apply – make sure to check them out just to be on the safe side.”
