It’s some fresh Blood for the Blood Angels – here are the units we’d like to see get Primaris’d for the Blood Angels!

The Blood Angels were almost wiped out in the Devastation of Baal. Of all the big-named chapters it makes the most sense for them to have their ranks swell with the Primaris Marines. Their Chapter Master Dante accepted the reinforcements as a good thing – even if not everyone agreed. As a chapter that was brought back from the brink and has a ton of Primaris, it’s only logical that the Primaris would start to fill out some of the other roles that have been left open in the Blood Angels Chapter. Here are the units we think should get the Primaris Treatment.

Chapter Master Dante

Your men won’t follow you if you won’t lead. If Dante crosses the Rubicon Primaris, then the rest of the chapter is justified in also making the jump. Also, it’s a great excuse to create a new Primaris Dante model and oh how he could use one…

Sanguinary Guard

It’s not that this kit is “bad” or even that old – it’s just from a lore standpoint the Sanguinary Guard should probably get Primaris-sized. With the amount of losses they took from the Tyranids it seems unlikely that the Sanguinary Guard would be able to refill their ranks without at least a couple Primaris Marines, right?  But also from a model standpoint just think of how cool this unit would look if GW married the ornate armor with that of the Mk. X Power Armor. That would be awesome! These guys would be physically imposing and really impressive.

Librarian Dreadnought

Take the Librarian Dreadnought and make it a Redemptor. Boom. Librarian Redemptor Dreadnought. I don’t even think I need to explain how great a psychically enhanced Redemptor Dreadnought will be. Just think about it for a moment. Yeah – that’s just cool man!

Mephiston

Did Mephiston take the plunge? We’ll find out at the end of the month. Either way, he’s getting a new model and that’s already a plus in my mind. I’d love to see him get re-sized as a Primaris Marine. We will see…

Corbulo

Of all the Blood Angels, Corbulo has been keeping the closest eye on the Primaris Marines. He’s been studying their geneseed and monitoring how and if the Red Thirst/Black Rage effects the Primaris. He knows all the dark secrets of the chapter and the Primaris Protocol is a cure for their flaw, you know he’s going to be the one who helps facilitate it throughout the chapter. I just hope if they do create a new model, they keep the Red Grail very similar – kind of like how they kept the Fists of Macragge for Calgar.

Baal Predators

I don’t know how or if it’s even possible but the Baal Predators need to get the Primaris Treatment. Or maybe a better way to say it is that Repulsors need to get the Baal Treatment! Super-charge the engines and double-up on the already insane firepower. If any of the chapters are going to get in there an tinker with the load-out, you know the Blood Angels will do it. The Red Ones go FASTER!

Bonus: Death Company?

Actually, no. The Death Company are probably one unit that should NOT get the Primaris Treatment. Again, if the Primaris Marines hold the key to the cure, then they won’t turn to the Black Rage. Will GW go this route? I’m not 100% sure! We all just going to have to wait and see what happens with the Blood Angels moving forward…

What do you think? Did we leave any units you’d like to see get the Primaris Treatment from the Blood Angels? Let us know in the comments!
