We’ve got our first look at not 1, but 2 new factions for Monsterpocalypse! Let’s check out the Waste and Green Fury.

March releases for Monsterpocalypse have been spotted in the wild and it’s looking like a great month! Destroyers have a new ally, the Waste! Globbicus looks ridiculously cool and in hyper form splits into two! Very excited to see how this plays out on the table.

While we’ve had the convention release of Sgt. Titanica we now get to see her general release model – and she’s holding the top of the Tokyo Tower! It’ll be great to get our first Green Fury units on the table as well.

From Privateer Press:

Monsterpocalypse – Sergeant Titanica – Green Fury Monster (metal/resin)

PIP 51086 MSRP: $21.99

Decades of fringe scientific research has culminated in the Green Fury monster known as Sergeant Titanica. No one knows her true identity, but numerous websites claim to know the origin of this enormous woman. Smaller details differ, but all sources agree that she was a highly decorated member of a western military organization recruited by Green Fury leadership to take part in a dangerous experiment.

By combining previously unknown plants found in the region from which the Terrasaurs emerged with energies generated by crystals found in the impact craters of the Harbinger comet, Green Fury scientists were able to spark massive growth in the cells of their volunteer’s body. Most remarkably, Sergeant Titanica retained all of her mental abilities and has been leading the ragtag forces of her newfound friends ever since. In addition to origin stories, conspiracy theories abound regarding her life after the experiment. Titanica does not appear to be able to return to human size like the Zors of the Shadow Sun Syndicate, so many believe she may be being harbored by a government when not taking part in battles.

TRADE POINTS: Previously only available as a convention exclusive, this standard release is a new sculpt for Sergeant Titanica, a support monster that can be added to any Protectors force. In alpha mode, she Motivates allies to move more quickly into tactical positions, and she is capable of Repositioning after taking a hit from an opponent to interfere with her enemy’s plans. When she goes Hyper, she Leads from the Front, encouraging allies to take careful aim before unleashing their attacks, and she uses her extensive combat training to order allied units to Tactically Shift, often clearing the way for her powerful Combo Strikes.

Monsterpocalypse – Globbicus – Waste Monster (metal/resin)

PIP 51087 MSRP: $34.99

Human scientists are baffled by the emergence of the Waste. The only thing about these new destructive creatures that’s been verified by multiple sources is that they seem to be spreading from the Chicago area. The prevailing theories all propose Globbicus represents the impact the Monsterpocalypse is having on the planet Earth. Embedded in the creature’s free-flowing form are the remnants of a power plant. During the initial skirmish between Gorghadra and human forces, that great cosmic beast was thrown into a power plant, leveling it and suffering significant damage.

Perhaps this repulsive entity was formed when some of the Planet Eater’s flesh came into contact with the fuel rods exposed in the facility’s destruction. Or perhaps the eldritch energies unleashed by the Lords of Cthul have shifted reality enough that the laws of physics are beginning to break down. Even less clear are the creature’s motives, and theories abound on the topic of its intelligence. The only thing scientists have come to a conclusion regarding is that more observation and samples are necessary to truly understand this new threat.

TRADE POINTS: Globbicus is a unique monster that can be added to any Destroyers force. In alpha mode, this massive blob Demolishes buildings in order to use the resulting debris as an Improvised Weapon. This foul monster is made of a semi-liquid material, making it Steady in the face of an opponent’s attacks and Unwieldy for other monsters to get a handle on. When it goes Hyper, it Bifurcates into two creatures, who Flank opponents. Much easier to toss around in its smaller form, units will have to be wary of the splash resulting in the impact the creature makes when it lands.

Monsterpocalypse – Scavenger Vans and Scrapper – Green Fury Units (metal)

PIP 51088 MSRP: $27.99

  • Scavenger Vans (3)
  • Elite Scavenger Van (1)
  • Scrapper (1)

The organization known as Green Fury suffered through a fringe existence for years until many of their beliefs were proven right with the coming of the Monsterpocalypse. The skills they used to rely on to cobble together discarded scientific equipment for further study have been shifted to battlefield tactics to do their part in the planet’s defense. Scavenger vans carry teams of brave technicians into warzones. Once there, these crews salvage any materials still useful in the fight for survival. Providing air support, fighter planes known as Scrappers accompany these salvage teams. These ungainly looking aircraft bristle with weapons and scientific equipment, showing the dedication to both the planet’s continued existence and the ongoing efforts to understand the threats we face.

TRADE POINTS: This blister pack provides the first Green Fury unit reinforcements for Protectors players. Scavenger Vans are armored civilian vehicles tasked by the leaders of Green Fury with exploring ruined cities for resources. They move into the rubble of buildings to Scavenge anything that can lend some Power to the efforts of their monstrous allies and carry enough firefighting equipment to Extinguish any dangerous areas still smoldering. Scrappers are capable of unleashing torrents of munitions to strafe enemy forces with their Quick-Fire weaponry.

Monsterpocalypse – Toxxos and Absorbers – Waste Units (metal/resin)

PIP 51089 MSRP: $29.99

  • Toxxos (2)
  • Elite Toxxos (1)
  • Absorbers (2)

Even more mysterious than the gargantuan creature known as Globbicus are the smaller creatures that follow in the monster’s wake. Toxxos seem almost entirely mindless, oozing forward to crush anything in the area. Their origin seems to be a toxic waste facility that Globbicus appeared to be drawn to. Many of these creatures still display embedded in their voluminous bodies the barrels the waste was stored in. In stark contrast to their mindless counterparts, absorbers seem to have some understanding of what is happening around them. They move toward the piles of debris left over when the fighting has moved on, seeming to choose the most useful detritus to incorporate into their bodies to enhance their combat prowess.

TRADE POINTS: This blister pack provides the first Waste unit reinforcements for Destroyers players. Toxxos provide straightforward brawling units with an interesting support ability for friendly monsters. Due to their Hazardous nature, enemy monsters that collide with them will suffer, encouraging players to throw an opponent’s monsters into friendly units for the first time. Absorbers, as their name implies, are capable of eating materials to use as Improvised Weapons and can lend some of the Power of that Scavenged material to their monsters.
