Here’s a look at the new Warhammer Underworlds Ogor warband. Take a look at how Hrothgorn, his wolf, and some helpful gnoblars will bring you victory.

There’s a new Warband in town. This time it’s the Ogor Mawtribes in the form of an Icebrow hunter who has wandered into the Beastgrave in search of something to fill the empty void in his stomach, accompanied by his pet “wolf” Thrafnir and a few helpful gnoblars who have come along to provide protection and help as best as they can. Here’s a look at the different fighters that make up the Warband.

Hrothgorn Mantrapper is a powerful fighter with a deadly range attack–and it’s one that comes with the ability to pull your enemies around the battlefield. This is helpful considering the number of allies you’ll have in the warband who come with effects that trigger when an enemy passes through a given hex.

Thrafnir moves fast and does a lot of damage, making him perfect for batting clean up once you’ve softened up a fighter and dragged them into position with Hrothgorn’s trap launcher.

Meanwhile, Bushwakka, one of the gnoblars is all about setting out traps that deal 2 extra damage, but you have to be careful to keep him out of combat.

Quiv, on the other hand, is all about helping out Hrothgorn with his trap launcher.

And Luggit and Thwak bring up the rear with their attacks that push targets wherever they need to with their deadly attack that, if they miss, lets them push.

All in all, the Warband seems set up to reward aggressive plays–with Hrothgorn’s attack you can pull someone where you need them to be, and use your other fighters to help set them up. It’s all about positioning with cards–like More Traps and Frozen Earth which let you disrupt various hexes on the board.

Be sure and upgrade Hrothgorn as best as you can, because he’s one of the Warband’s big vulnerabilities before he really gets going. They want to catch someone, bring them in close to finish them off, but if you end up out of position or caught against a foe that won’t go down, you might be in trouble once Hrothgorn goes down.

Then objectives are just delightful, though, and full of flavor.

Good luck players!
