First up we have the Vulture Gunship. These are dedicated assault fighters from the Astra Militarum that exist to make you remember about A-10 Warthogs and also to escort Valkyries.

ultures are capable of executing the most taxing manoeuvres – including hovering in place – and they’re armed to the teeth. These slippery gunships can reliably tail and knock out just about anything in the air. Bolt on the aptly named punisher cannon to unleash a devastating 10 Firepower at mid-range! True to their name, Vulture Gunships can be equipped with a variety of rockets, missiles and bombs to take on a wide range of targets.

Their Punisher cannon is truly punishing. You can find rules for them in the Taros Air War campaign book, so check back soon.

Next up we have the Barracuda AX-5-2, which is maneuverable, fast, and armed with heavier weapons than you might expect.

The primary Swiftstrike Railgun and Missile Pod loadout is potent enough, but why stop there when you can throw on some drones and a one-shot seeker missile when you want to be absolutely sure something blows up? Barracudas are already fast, but they also have access to advanced T’au Empire technology to push their limits even further for a serious advantage in dogfights.

The Ionic Afterburners will make sure you have the extra oomph you need to get to key targets on the battlefield. Although if it’s in the sky, is it really a field? Either way, you can find both of these craft in the upcoming Taros Air War and Skies of Fire boxed set. So check back for more!

Good luck, aces!
