It is a weekend of 40K that will go well into next week with the release of GW’s first new pre-order for a while: Psychic Awakening Engine War at last.

That’s right folks, Games Workshop is back in business, albeit at a limited, safe rate. But with Nottingham active once more, that means the new releases are slowly making their way out into the world, with Psychic Awakening: Engine War leading the way. If you’re into Adeptus Mechanicus, Knights, and Chaos, this is the Psychic Awakening for you.

The latest entry in the ongoing Psychic Awakening series updates no fewer than four factions with new rules, background material, and missions to play out the events. The focus has been on the Adeptus Mechanicus, because they have a slew of new models, but this book also covers Imperial Knights, Chaos Knights, and Chaos Daemons – including the latest units for Slaanesh!

This is a must-have tome for collectors of Adeptus Mechanicus, Knights of all kinds, and Chaos armies.

Accompanying the release of the new Psychic Awakening book is an avalanche of Ad-Mech, starting with the Tech-Priest Manipulus found in Kill Team Theta-7, now available individually:

And those swanky cavalry riding on Ad-Mech mechano horses (which are probably secretly incredibly horrible, because they’re like three servitors cyber-grafted together into horse form) are out with the Serberys Sulphurhounds:

And the Serberys Raiders:

The Pteraxii Sterylizors and Skystalkers are also getting released this week. One box will build you five close-range Sterylizors armed with phosphor torches:

Or five Skystalkers with flechette carbines:

The Adeptus Mechanicus skies are going to be incredibly crowded with the reelease of the new Archaeopter as well. This is one kit that builds three different chassis. You’ll get the troop-transporting Transvector:

The Stratoraptor, the dedicated gunship of the three:

And the Fusilave, a ground attack bomber:

But wait, there’s more. Because you may as well start collecting Adeptus Mechanicus with this new release, and that means a new Start Collecting! set, which includes ten Skitarii Vanguard or Rangers, an Enginseer, and a Skorpius Dunerider/Disintegrator.

And that’s just the start. Be sure and check back next week for more new releases.
