TJ Lanigan joins us this week to spit loving bile about Chaos Space Marines.  We speak specifically about Death Guard in and Thousand Sons. Listening will give you Heresy.

Hey all,

The point changes in 9th have everyone scratching their heads.  What to take?  What is the best?  Is my list even playable?!   Do I need to paint new figures?

Take what you like.  The best is a moving target. Your list is still playable but you’ll have to maybe leave out a unit or two.  You don’t ‘need’ to paint new figures but it might be fun. I suggest starting with chaos spawn. We go over the reasons why in the show but things like Chaos Defilers, Rhinos, and Spawn may make a huge comeback. Now with the new edition in our hands, we’re going to realize the full impact of Psychic Awakening.

Old Chaos is dead but just like the gibbering masses Chaos is reborn and if you’re a longtime collector you may get to bring some of your old models off the shelf.  Those Pox Walkers may come in handy again for objective camping too.

Vehicles, in general, are getting a lot of attention maybe because they have had the most rules tweaks in #new40k?  Maybe so.  Chaos has some of the best dual-purpose vehicles in the game.  They get access to powerful Daemon Engines and a lot of the same tools their less heretical cousins do too.

FTN mostly focuses on Warhammer 40k, but again you will see in the first few episodes we take a severe deep dive into nerdom. These have been a blast to record and I hope they help pass the time for you. Please please please check out the new Forge The Narrative objective markers. These things look awesome. Ordering a set is a good way to support one of our sponsors AND the show. Find them here.
