GW Rumor Engine: A Fine Blade

2 Minute Read
Nov 24 2020

Games Workshop is back with a new Rumor Engine that hints at things to come.

We’ve got yet another sword teased from GW. I’m starting to wonder if there is some type of massive duel about to happen. Take a look for yourself.

So there you have it. Another thin blade. At this point, we’d typically start to make guesses as to what faction would use such a weapon. Please do drop us your thoughts in the comments. However, this week, I want to look back at all the other swords we’ve seen this year. I think you’ll understand why once you see them all.

This one was back in May. It’s clearly seen better days but notice it’s also relatively thin.

Later that month, another ornate, yet thin blade as well. Then we fast forward four months to September.

Fancy guard, thin blade. Hmm…

It’s an interesting pattern with these swords. Does it mean anything? I don’t know! But it can’t be an accident. Games Workshop is planning to do something with all these swords and we may have to wait a bit longer to find out.

The blade from today’s Rumor Engine isn’t exactly the fanciest of the batch but it does have that same thinness to it. Overall, I’m getting a sort of swashbuckling adventure style of blade theme going on. Except for the rusty sword whos wielder really needs to get some work done on their fingernails.

Anyhow – what do you think about this week’s blade? It could be wield by anyone! Let us know your best guesses in the comments.

An elegant weapon for a more civilized time.
