Candlekeep has many treasures, the greatest of which is knowledge, but these other five treasures are pretty great too. And they’re actual treasure.

Candlekeep Mysteries contains 17 different mysteries, and each one is full of new friends, new perils, and most importantly treasure. And one of the best things about Candlekeep Mysteries is that the rewards don’t mess around. These are short adventures, but they aren’t afraid to give you rewards that upset the status quo. You won’t find just a few hundred gold pieces per person, instead you’ll find boons and magic items like these.

Nether Scroll of Azumar

This magical scroll is one of the famous Nether Scrolls, which, if you weren’t aware, is one of the great works of the ancient Netherese empire. It’s a powerful magic scroll that, if you read it, raises your Intelligence score to 22 and grants you advantage on saving throws vs. spells and magical effects.

Staff of Fate

The staff of fate is a +3 quarterstaff imbued with crystals that alter probability itself. Each of its six crystals represents a special d4 that you can add to a single attack roll, ability check, saving throw, or more important–damage roll.

Gloves of Soul Catching

The Book of Inner Alchemy is a martial arts treatise on becoming immortal–but it also contains dark secrets that could be used to create powerful magic gloves that allow a character to disrupt their enemies. While wearing the gloves, your constitution score is 20, and after making a successful unarmed strike, you can deal an extra 2d10 force damage and regain hit points equal to the damage dealt. Instead of regaining hit points, you can also gain advantage on one attack roll, ability check, or saving throw you make before your next turn ends.

A Wish

What’s better than getting a free one-time casting of the most powerful spell in the game? Having a free one-time casting of the most powerful spell from an allied caster with the express understanding that the Wish won’t be twisted.

A Free Trip To Space

What’s better than a Wish? Going to outer space! For free! Be among the very few to have seen Faerun from a distance. Get some perspective that will make you realize just how small the world is, and how fragile life can be. Gain newfound respect for that pale blue dot–assuming the cultists on the magic tower-turned-improvised-spaceship you’re in don’t kill you first.

Happy Adventuring!
