A24 Tells a Story of Conspiracies and a Demon Baby in ‘False Positive’
Being pregnant is not fun, especially when your baby is possibly demonically possessed.
False Positive has a modern Rosemary’s Baby vibe to it. With Ilana Glazer (go watch Broad City – just do it) as a co-writer and A24 involved it’s bound to be way more interesting and darkly funny than a straight re-hash of the horror classic.
“After months of trying and failing to get pregnant, Lucy and Adrian finally find their dream fertility doctor in the illustrious Dr. Hindle. But after becoming pregnant with a healthy baby girl, Lucy begins to notice something sinister through Hindle’s gleaming charm, and she sets out to uncover the unsettling truth about him, and her own ‘birth story.’ As if getting pregnant weren’t complicated enough…”
The cast is lead by Ilana Glazer and she is joined by Justin Theroux, Pierce Brosnan, Sophia Bush, and Gretchen Mol. It’s directed by John Lee (Wonder Showzen, Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, Broad City).
False Positive arrives on Hulu on June 25th.
