Or so the saying goes. Here are some OTHER C’tan you might run into these days.
The C’tan are supposed to be the oldest beings in all existence in the Grimdark Universe. They had god-like powers but were overthrown by the Necrons who were able to turn their weapons on them and shattered them into shards. These Star Vampires were once considered to be awakening – but that was later changed into the new C’tan Shards that we have now. Whatever the case, these shards were once parts of a larger whole and the beings they came from had names.
Aza’gorod, the Nightbringer
The first C’tan to encounter the Necrons. Powerful enough to impress its image as that of death itself on the psyche of the younger races, upon entering stasis it was almost destroyed by starvation but was released accidentally by the Dark Eldar, aided by a power-mad human industrialist named Kasimir de Valtos.
Mephet’ran, the Deceiver
The C’tan who made the bargain to turn the Necrontyr into the Necrons.
Mag’ladroth, the Void Dragon
Also known as the Void Dragon or simply The Dragon, is one of the C’tan – the god-like beings worshiped by the Necrontyr and later the Necrons. He was said to be the greatest and most terrible of all the C’tan. also known as the Void Dragon or simply The Dragon, is one of the C’tan – the god-like beings worshiped by the Necrontyr and later the Necrons. There may be a connection between this entity and the Dragon of Mars, which was imprisoned beneath the surface of Mars by the Emperor of Mankind before the Age of Strife.
